Great stay in excellent location
Lots of good things at this hotel. The location is excellent, a short walk to Boston Commons, shopping, and dining. The room was a great size, with a spacious layout. It was possible to get work done at the desk without feeling cramped or trapped. The bathroom was like new and quality soaps and toiletries. I was disappointed with the bed, which was far too soft and made got an uncomfortable sleep. Check in went smoothly and the front desk staff was excellent, but when we requested an iron (twice) no one ever came and we ended up having to track down housekeeping to get one ourselves. Not fun. The hotel is on a busy street and can a little noisy in the evenings, but that doesn’t continue overnight. Overall the stay was very good and relaxing. This is one of the few hotels where the resort fee matches the conveniences: complementary waters and snacks in the rooms. Oh, and the state of the art Bevi water machine was very nice surprise. This hotel would be among my top choices for staying in Boston, especially if there’s an option for a firm bed.
