Stayed at Saint Albert for 3 nights while exploring the wider Dordogne region. Staff are extremely helpful and accommodating, and it has a delightfully quaint charm that was exactly what I was looking for while touring small towns and villages in the region. Excellent, super friendly staff all around! Except the day manager - very rude man. There's no excuse for his behavior and nasty attitude anytime I inquired about a service. Everyone else was great. Clean rooms. Wifi wasn't good. Restaurant was very cold. Almost everything in the cafe was undercooked; and, or food was crossed with other food (ex: lettuce in the eggs; petrified fruit in the noodles or milk etc). The absolute best part of being here were the door men and house keepers. Good bunch of dudes. Otherwise, I'll never come back here.

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this hotel at all. There were stains and dust everywhere. To make matters worse, cockroaches were crawling around. The reception staff on the late shift were unfriendly and unhelpful. We had to wait around with our luggage until one of the staff from downstairs kindly helped us check in – otherwise, who knows how long we would’ve been ignored. If you care about hygiene and peace, you’d be better off staying somewhere else.
