The room is small and there is no view, but it’s clean and cozy with art deco decor, and the bed was very comfortable.It has modern conveniences like a tablet in the room for visitor information. The staff is very nice and helpful. Definitely would stay here again.

Historic Beauty in the Heart of Downtown
The Palmer House is beautiful! The hotel staff was very helpful and kind. Our room was just ok. But the rest of the hotel made up for it. And the location was perfect!!Highly recommend!

Atmosphere is great, rooms are outdated
The Palmer House is so historic, and we love that part of it. The lobby is one of the best places to visit and people watch. It is wonderful to admire the history, but the rooms definitely need an upgrade! The bed is comfy, but the furniture and floors and shower alll need a major upgrade. Our room was incredibly small. The elevators are incredibly slow. There are so many nicer places to stay in Chicago, but come here for the history and lobby

Beautiful and historic hotel
Beautiful and historic hotel. The public areas of the hotel are gorgeous! Our room was clean, however, the wallpaper was severely peeling, and the tub surround seemed a little flimsy when i used the shower. Its a busy hotel, and very near Millenium Park, and the Art Institute. Very walkable to lots of restaurants and ither touristy places. We had a blast.

Amazing Historic Hotel
Amazing historic hotel. Check in was a breeze. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Rooms are so comfortable its like home. Bell workers very helpful.
