We always stay at the Upham when we go to Santa Barbara…. We always dined at Louies restaurant, which was part of the hotel… we were sad it was closed, however, dining at Bouchon near by was great too! Also the location of the Upham is walkable to EVERYTHING!!!

The hotel is older on a busy corner. Parking for check in was on the street in front of hotel. Check in was fine, but the parking is behind the hotel very cramped. For handicapped people it is little difficult to maneuver the property. Bathroom was very narrow. Nit sure if this is a valid complaint, but I thought they had a full complimentary breakfast. They do not.
