We stayed at The Grove in December 2025 with our toddler and had a wonderful experience. The hotel felt magical at Christmas, beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming throughout. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well set up for a family stay, which made everything feel easy and relaxed.
The staff were exceptional: genuinely friendly, attentive, and especially thoughtful with our little one. Dining was excellent, with great options and flexibility for families, and the grounds were stunning even in winter, perfect for walks.
A truly luxurious but family-friendly hotel. We felt very well looked after and would absolutely return.

We enjoyed our stay at The Grove.
It’s unfortunate that most of their summer events & special dining experience are all in late July/august, so we didn’t get a chance to experience them.
Loved the variety of activities & the stunning grounds.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
The hotel is a big events space and thus loses the charm of a country escape, and keeps a more corporate feel.

Have stayed many times at The Grove but it’s been on the decline for the last 12 months or so with this visit being very sub-par. Rooms weren’t serviced properly, activities for children were awful and the once fantastic Glass House buffet felt tired. Won’t be rushing back any time soon. Many people we encountered felt the same.
