Clayton Hotel Bristol City
"Amazing location great friendly staff very clean would highly recommend"
Future Inns Cardiff Bay
"Fantastic big rooms with 2 double beds. Location good for Bay Area (walk) and bus to city center but a lot of construction So nothing scenic to look at."
Bristol Grand Hotel By Sunday
"Hotel was lovely, staff were helpful. Only giving a 4 star because on this occasion I could not sleep due to a loud rumbling noise kept going off through the night, as well as the receptionist knocking on the doors of surrounding rooms at one point until found the one they were after. Not sure if the rumbling noise was beyond the hotels control or not. Everything else was 5 star and so were my last 2 visits, love this hotel."
Tŷ Magor
"Room was nice and clean helpful staff"
The Angel Hotel
"Single room was ok, bed comfortable. There was a fan and the window opened a couple of inches but it was still hot. I didn't have cereals and would have had fruit but there was only what looked like tinned peaches or some berries. There were bananas and apples in the fruit bowl. Bacon, fried eggs, black pudding, sausages, tomatoes, baked beans and mushrooms were under hot plates and were fine apart from the mushrooms which looked very dry"
Coldra Court Hotel by Celtic Manor
"Nice staff"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Newport
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Newport is in January, April, and December, when hotel prices are typically lower. For a thorough exploration of the city’s key landmarks, cultural sites, and historical attractions, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to take in the rich history and vibrant culture of Newport while enjoying budget-friendly options that offer great value for money. With the potential for prices to drop during these months, it’s an excellent opportunity for those travelling on a budget to experience everything Newport has to offer.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals on hotels in Newport, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. To ensure you stay informed about potential savings, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications for flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. If prices drop or new rooms become available, you're more likely to be among the first to know, making it easier to secure a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a more affordable stay in a Newport hotel. For those seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and might offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead to more economical options.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Newport's excellent public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those who wish to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
