"Stayed here many times before,main reasons are large room,bathtub and free car park.Used to include free buffet breakfast but no longer available which is a shame as the variety and quality were excellent.Also no longer available is the very handy free coffee to take away area."

"Not only was our room super clean and comfortable, but the staff truly is the shining star. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and will assist you with any help you need - from finding where your riverboat is docked to helping you with finding but eventually replacing your lost phone. Will be highly recommending Hotel Marthof to friends and will return. Cannot thank them enough!"

"This little gem is exactly what you need if you are headed out of town from Basel --- free transportation to the airport and clean/quiet. Staff was outstanding --- couldn't be any better."

"Clean and comfortable and safe large room Interesting decor, older but not worn out Only small negative was having to climb one set of 8-10 stairs w luggage to get to the older part of the hotel. Had a lift once over there, and a nice courtyard. There during some autumn festivals so the Platz were wonderful. Good walking and excellent trams. Definitely would stay there again "

"Lovely little place, super convenient, right next to Spalentor, so right in the centre, with lots of lovely restaurants around. Friendly, very attentive staff, super comfy rooms. Couldn't fault it."
