The best of British boutique hotels
I’ve stayed here before and love the design/location so was pleased to return.
The staff were really helpful/pleasant and the room was very clean with toiletries/towels/refreshments replenished.
My Nespresso had a slight leak - I meant to mention it to the staff/team.
The pricing was modular and so breakfast/spa access was optional. I can understand this and next time will book into the spa but part of me thinks spa access in a boutique hotel should just be standard.
I opted for breakfast on the second morning and was pleased with the range of smoothies and fruit/veg etc.
It was actually also just interesting from a design perspective to look at how the bathroom suites and doors/windows had been designed.
There is good access to the city centre and the sights/shops/waterfront etc. The Georgian Quarter itself is also a nice location. Thanks for a nice stay.

Check for accessibility before booking
The initial room Allocated for my 80 year old mother in law necessitated climbing up several stairs and was clearly unsuitable. She struggled up the first set as we tried to find her room but then there was another set so we asked for a different room. The new room was better located for her mobility but should have been the initial allocation.

Accessibility problems
Allocated an accessible room. Doors need to open automatically or stay open while entering as access difficult. Lift was very tight and difficult to access. Access to restaurants not possible because of steps . Needs a ramp either from hotel or street. Accessible route convoluted and dependent on functioning lift. Room needs usb points.

A really great hotel
A really excellent service - rooms modern, comfy and clean with lovely products and fluffy towels. The hotel staff are always ready to help - nothing is too much trouble - and the bar was fabulous - lovely atmosphere and friendly vibe.

Great Hotel
Great hotel, lovely bar area and restaurant. The rooms are comfortable, large and spotless, and this time we had the added bonus of a balcony which was lovely. As ever though, it is the staff that often make a place special, and the staff here whether on reception, the bar or the restaurant, are just wonderful. Would highly recommend.

Catfished by the photos on the listing. Showed all exposed brick and airy rooms but what we got was like a tired travelodge.
The shower controls were awful, the shower had hardly any pressure.
The bathroom had some kind of touch sensor which hardly worked and at one point the lights were going up and down on their own.
The floors were super creaky old wood which was well worn.
Would not come back.

Good Service, Nice room, but lacked a view.
We always enjoy staying at this hotel & the staff are all helpful & friendly.
Our room was really nice. However, had no view as faced onto the back. Made it hard to gauge the weather.
I also felt the room lacked a dressing table with mirror & plug pint nearby. We would however stay again.
We stayed here as were attending an event that had a few late nights. That meant we would sometimes leave the room later. No matter how late we left the room was always serviced.

This is my favourite hotel in Liverpool. I have stayed here many times over the past 9 years since my daughter moved to Liverpool. It's nice to stay in a quieter part of the city. It's a bit pricey compared to other hotels but still worth it.
