The positives: fairly cheap. Adequate parking. Wasn’t disturbed by pub customers as pub not busy and annexe room separate from pub. Staff pleasant. Room clean and bed comfortable.
Negatives: room very tired and dark. Poor soundproofing between adjacent rooms. Bathroom fittings old and slight drain odour.
Didn’t eat at pub but didn’t see any viable alternatives nearby for dining.
Ok for cheap overnight stopover.

I received a really friendly welcome from Penny and had a very nice, clean, spacious room. This is an old building so clearly isn’t shiny and new, but was perfectly adequate for my requirements. It was lovely having the bar downstairs, and the offer of pub food if needed. Would definitely stay there again. Excellent value and lovely, friendly staff. Lots of free parking in their car park.

My room was large, clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and my evening meal and breakfast were "spot on", definitely no complaints from me, I'd happily stay here again.

Lovely room, slept well.
Lovely room outside, (no stairs). Very very comfortable and big bed. Powerful shower. Ordered food and the lady behind the bar carried the tray to my room. Spacious room. A little noise from next door, but the bed was so comfy, I went straight to sleep.

Little Disappointing
Nice pub and building area.
Needs modernisation and fresh lick of paint in the accommodation areas.
Some staff clearly do not want to be there and extremely lazy and put out by any requests.
Inconsistent with availability of hot water.
Breakfast extremely poor.
Dinner not available when I stayed. Went to the local Indian which was fabulous.
Did the job, wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Disappointed with the water noise.
Arrived 50 mins before check in which was 2pm.
We were told we couldnt check in until 2 which was fair enough. So went for a drink across the road. There was only 1 young lady at the bar and it was busy. She didnt look very happy!
Checked in at 2, lady was friendly and had read my requesf to make the.room a.double.
Room clean, bed comfy.
We were in room 11. 10 and 11 arent within the main pub but attached to the side on the ground floor overlooking the carpark.
We went out for the evening, returned at 11.30pm to sleep.
Room smelled strongly of cannabis. There were people smoking outside near our windows which were shut.
We tried to sleep but there was a tipping of water sound every 2 minutes like the water buckets at a water park that fill then tip.
My partner was awake from 3 or 4 am.
He looked around the bulding but couldnt see where the noise was coming from. It was definitely in the roof area.
We told reception on checking out who didnt know what it was either and gave us a full refund no issues there to which we are grateful.

One night stay.
Good adequately clean and well priced for what we wanted which was a reasonably priced room for the night. Not for romance.
Breakfast was good and quickly served by freindly staff.
Not a great choice of real beers on tap however loads for larger lovers.
Could do with a new carpet around the bar. The tiolet was a bit noisy in the night if used, but i imagine theres not much you can do witht these saniflo type loos.
Very comfy bed , we did notice a broken window handle. Room a little on the small side.

I couldn't get the TV to work unfortunately, but that didnt affect my stay.

Disappointing, unwelcoming, kitchen closed early
Picked this place as a good location for attending the British GP at Silverstone and somewhere that offered food until 9pm as we knew we would have to contend with traffic which might delay us. Booked a table and had confirmation for 8pm. On our way we got a text telling us they were closing the kitchen early at 7pm, no apology was offered and as we were stuck in traffic couldn’t get there in time. On arrival there were no staff around and eventually found someone who got someone else. She looked like she really didn’t want to be there and we got no greeting, no smile and felt like we were an inconvenience to them. The room had a very large bed (2 singles pushed together) which was comfy, but a bit big for the room so left very little space down one side. The level of cleanliness should have been better, stained sink/shower, water marks on the shower door, thick cobwebs on the beams, marks on the wall that looked like someone had spilt tea on it and black bits in the bottom of the kettle. There was an unpleasant odour from the shower drain. Went to open the window and pop it on the latch to keep it in position and the latch wasn’t attached.
