Located in cute, quiet neighbourhood off High Street off Tufnell Park underground. Takes no time to get into city centre. Staff are incredibly friendly and generous. Bent over backwards to answer any questions I had about directions etc. Hot, homemade breakfast and the place is always kept clean. Shared bathroom are a non issue. I've stayed here on two occasions and other than breakfast I never seem to bump into anyone. I've never had a line up to use any facilities. There are only 4-5 rooms per floor. It's not the fanciest place in the world but I don't go to London to spend time in a hotel, I go to be in London. It more than fulfills what one needs when staying in the city. Thanks Pino and gang for everything!

Look out for sunbathing foxes & cubs
Clean, quiet, (apart from all them awful birds singing) = positively green & leafy rural in fact. Warm & Welcoming. Does what it says on the tin etc. The 390 bus (KGX>Archway, Carleton Rd stop) = 5 mins walk away and runs 24/7 is Simply Epic One slight niggle = Wifi - do we need a bigger router for the number of possible users?

Smaller washroom than could be expected
Wash room size was too small. Also, bad smell was coming from wash room. The owner lady was very much courteous. She gave us a warm welcome and served tasty breakfast.

My partner chose this hotel. I would class it as a bed and breakfast. It was a bit run down and not upkept to a high standard. The staff were very nice and genuinely accommodating.

Adequate for our needs.
The room was a little cramped. there were three of us, so we had a double and a single. Not much room for anything else. It was also VERY hot there - it was in the middle of the heat wave. Very little air coming in. The lady was very pleasant. Breakfast was good. This is a B&B and not a hotel. There are no lounge facilities.

Bugs
The worst part was I got bit by bedbugs!!! The man worker there said I cost him 374 pounds to get the room checked and that room was feee of bed bugs, but I was to 3 doctors that stated they were new bugs. I was very offended when he told me people from US and India and most likely to bring over bed bugs. The female worker there was very friendly and make great eggs in the morning. I just wish I would have not got bitten by bugs and then told I brought them over.

Nice little B & B with very helpful staff.
This is a quaint little B&B in London area. Close to the Underground and in a nice peaceful neighborhood. Breakfast to order in the morning.

Reasonable
For a short stay Five Kings is ok to be in. TV was old, bathroom a bit small. But overall an OK stay for the paid price.

Great value for the money !
Everything really good value for the price ! Only ONE really disturbing item which was the sound transmitting from other rooms - I could literally hear people breathing in the neighbouring room ! But everything else makes The Five Kings really recommendable !!!

Nice local B&B
I stayed with my kids while our house was being painted. It was a warm comfortable room. Ensuite was small but functional & the waster was nice & warm in the shower. Breakfast was lovely, good selection & bacon & eggs were delicious. It’s about a 7-10 minutes walk from the nearest bus stop, tube us further, but it’s not noisy which was good with young kids who still needed to get up for school.

Hotel is in a pleasant location. The rooms are clean and adequate for what we required. Breakfast was ok. The TV only has around five channels, none of which most people would watch. You cannot even get the standard channels of BBC or ITV. Also, the internet connection is very unreliable. So, if all you need is somewhere relatively clean in a decent area to lay down your head and have a shower, then it's fine. But, I wouldn't want to spend too much time in the room. Finally, one particular member needs to learn how to treat hotel residents.

Seriously, give this place a miss.
Where to start really. We stayed in a triple room that was barely big enough for a double bed. The curtain rail fell down as soon as we walked in. The drawers looked like they'd been in a flood, insides were badly water damaged. The bathroom was a cubicle wet room configuration, toilet pan badly stained. The woodchip wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the wardrobe space was a rail on the wall with three coathangers on it. Only two towels left out for three people. First morning arrived for breakfast at 9am and were told too late for cooked breakfast even thou end of breakfast wasn't until 9.15am. Second morning arrived in time, however cooked breakfast only actually consisted of two fried eggs two rashers of bacon and baked beans. There is a pretty garden, which is spoilt by rusty furniture and a swing seat that was completely covered in green mildew. No tea making facilities in room and the tea and coffe machine in the foyer, which was chargeable, wasn't working. The whole place was very shabby and did not live up to expectations. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, and certainly wouldn't visit again.

Great Hotel
Stayed here for 4 nights with a couple friends and it was lovely - the staff were very friendly to us and it wasn't a far walk to public transport so was perfect for our stay

Inexpensive, and you get what you pay for
The gal who makes breakfast and is often at the service window was the great part of this establishment. She is friendly and tries to compensate for the dumpy accommodations. It's always sad to me when a formerly beautiful place is updated with the very cheapest of materials. A few examples: the plastic towel rack, which was too high for me to reach, was put on poorly, so I knocked if off several times when leaping to put a towel on it; the toilet veers to one side if you move a bit; the ribbed bottom of the shower stall is both painful to the feet and permanently stained; having no shower curtain means water all over the bathroom, but a curtain would probably make the stall deeply dark; the throw pillows on the bed are terribly pilled and inspired a shiver; the mirror in the main room is in front of a desk, so it's very difficult to actually use. No personality in the room. Though I know this wouldn't bother everyone, I found it tough to have no healthy offerings for breakfast (no fruit, plain water available - you could buy water, only.) There was a fiber cereal offered. It seemed stale, but perhaps that was how it tasted! Also no brewed coffee, only instant. (Though UK is the land of tea, coffee seemed to be abundantly offered and enjoyed everywhere.) Not too far from the Tube, and felt like a safe enough neighborhood. I was there in a warm spring with cool nights and it was necessary to keep the unscreened window open at night for comfort. Overwarm in the day.
