Really relaxing and enjoyable stay. Close to city centre, whilst being remote enough to enjoy some piece and quiet. Wish we had booked for longer. Will definitely recommend and return again.

The hotel is in a lovely location and is a very beautiful building.
The staff were really friendly and helpful, from checking in, room cleaning and replenishment, and serving breakfast.
We had the deluxe room and it was beautiful, bright, sunny and comfortable
The only negative was that the bar closed early eg we arrived back approx 11.30 and would have liked a nightcap, but that would not stop me staying in this beautiful hotel again!

We both enjoyed our stay at the Red Lion, the staff could not do enough for us, especially as I wanted to make sure Motorbike was in a secure place. Ideal for a relaxing break, even if the have a function on, as you cannot hear any music, plus the beds are so relaxing that you just want to get out of bed.

We booked a double room and it was massive! It was an accessible room (we didn’t ask for this) so if you’re in need of one I would highly recommend it, there was lots of room to move about. The room itself was spotless and has everything we needed. Would definitely stay again

This hotel has been refurbished recently and is in very good condition. We were lucky to stay in a double room with two double beds, easily big enough for a family of four but there were two of us.
As our visit was deemed to be a necessary visit due to Covid restrictions all our meals were taken in our rooms. The limited menu offered something for everyone and the quality of food was excellent, both at breakfast and in the evening. There was a lovely covered patio area to enjoy but the weather...

During your visit, you'll find friendly locals, engaging theatres, various entertainment options, vibrant sports activities, beautiful gardens, informative museums, and stunning monuments. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal for your stay in a Sheffield hotel. For those seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, assisting you in your search for a great deal.
Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but Sheffield's excellent public transport links mean you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that is still well connected. For those seeking to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative locations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
