Bad service and poor condition
One of my worst experiences. Within minutes of entering the allotted room (#06-02) when my son went to use the toilet he found water pouring from the pipe. The bathroom was flooded with water within minutes. We complained to the front office and they sent a service personnel who stopped the leakage and went off. Within some time we found water pouring from the ceiling in the corridor of my floor in front of my door. We were scared of short circuit and electrocution and immediately called front office and complained and requested for a change of our room to another floor. The request was rejected saying that there was no vacancy. We were scared and disturbed. Soon when I went to use the toilet I found that there was no water supply in any toilet and kitchen. Maybe the service man fixed my bathroom flooding by cutting off the water supply. I immediately called front office again and threated that I will highlight this issue in social media if my room was not changed. Within minutes I got a call and was allotted a new room on 22nd floor. I felt very bad that the same management who told an hour ago that there was no empty room could now allot us a new room? Was this out of fear. A service industry behaving like this? Also for breakfast one needed to queue everyday for 5 to 10 minutes before you get a seat. To get omelette one needs to queue for 10 to 20 minutes as they do not take orders and allow us to come later and collect. Very bad service and management. The corridor is hot

Unjustified 5-star price
The nightmare was the horrible foul smell when you enter the suite. The room must have been unused for very long time. The foul smell never went away after we open window for a full day purge. The phone was not working, and the room looked rundown with filth. We paid more than $300 a night and was a disastrous let down. The staff help to relocate to a slight better room. The room ambience was better but this had destroyed our mode. I indeed wanted to cancel the following day booking, spent time interfacing with Expedia staff, who was very helpful but probably hampered by many red tapes, and came too late to effect the change. The night before we can from the Face Suite, hoping the new place would be our climax as we paid double the price for the Park Royal Suite. It turned out an all time heaven to hell anti-climax. The room amenities does not live up to the brand name of Park Royal. I advise traveller to avoid this hotel. Sincerely yours, Mr Lee

Apartment experience was interesting. We did not use the kitchen area much. Partly because we ate out most of the time, but also we could not work out how to use the combi Microwave/grill that seemed to only warm things a little, even on full power (without grill). This may be us not using it properly. Perhaps instructions would have helped - or it may have been broken. DVD player was a nice addition, but it also appeared to be damaged. HOWEVER!!! The room was clean and tidy. There was little noise from outside to disturb sleep. Breakfast (included) was good and varied. Location was convenient for access to some of the KL parks. We walked everywhere despite KL not being pedestrian friendly. If, like us you like to walk, be prepared for the volume of traffic, poor state of some of the pavements (sidewalks) and lack of signage for pedestrians. Be prepared also for how friendly and helpful the local people are

Location and Cleanliness
We really enjoyed our stay at The PARKROYAL Suites , the room had all we needed for a comfortable stay, with some nice extras , the only complaint we had was we stayed 3 nights and on 2 nights we were disturbed by a broken A/C which leaked badly lots of water down on our cooked food , and then had on both nights service engineers in our room for like 30 minutes with cleaning service to follow , But at checkout we never received no thanks , not a word about this disturbance and then we got hit with a 10 Rinngits per night Tourism Tax , which I understand some Hotels are charging now , but to say we left with a sour taste in our mouths , because of the lack of apology for our disturbances....Apart from that we had a great stay and the location is perfect close to all shopping and attractions and Taxis were always at hand.

Exceptional 10.0
Awesome hotel
This is a great hotel to stay at especially for those families with kids aged 10-17 years old because there are rooms in the apartment like a house and they have some privacy. The hotel is very clean and modern, there are two pools one sky pool rooftop another ground pool. The location is excellent about a 10 minute walk to the main shopping center (pavilion) and it is also central to all tourist attractions in the KL area. However there are a few clubs and bars in the area of where parkroyal is situated however it is still safe. The people in KL are safe even in those areas. The staff at parkroyal are excellent and very nice. We just loved our stay there were washing machine and dryer u just need to buy some washing powder from the little shops in front of the hotel. Had an iron, a study excellent kitchen facility and rooms are great too.
