Noise annoys
You can’t fault Brooks apart from one aspect. It backs onto a street that is full of bars and incredibly noisy. Music in the outside areas of the bars (Revolution/ Slug and Lettuce?) went on until 1.45 on a Tuesday night and then there was noise for another hour with people shouting, bottles crashing. I’ve lived in the centre of cities all my life and stayed in city centre hotels all over the world. This was the noisiest stay. Not for me, sorry.

Clean, tidy, well located. Good value for a city centre. Without doubt the noisiest guest house I have ever stayed in! Stopped around 3:00am! Bring ear plugs! Supply ear plugs!

A nice boutique hotel, tucked away in the street, rooms were extremely clean and staff were welcoming. Breakfast was really lovely. The only thing I would recommend is bringing earplugs because of street noise, but the hotel can't control that.

Beautiful guesthouse, very comfortable. Breakfast is brilliant. However the guesthouse is located very close to the Slug & Lettuce, meaning very loud music until around 2am, then at 3.30am the recyclers made their rounds, so little sleep. They do have afew quieter rooms & I got one for the 2nd night. If I can get a quiet room, as & when I come back to Bristol, would definitely book agaim

Great base in central Bristol
The Brooks Guesthouse worked perfectly for us it was a one night stay whilst visiting relatives. However, if you want a quiet night this is not the place for you as it really is in the hub of the nightlife
