Staff attitude towards limited water access and no hot water
Staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Foggy Bottom from Friday 1/22 through Saturday 1/24/2026, we were informed upon arrival that there would be no water from 10 AM to 2 PM, Friday through Sunday, due to maintenance. This was never communicated to us in advance, nor were we given the option to cancel or choose another hotel.
On top of that, there was no hot water on Friday evening and Saturday morning. When we asked about it, the staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unapologetic, repeatedly telling us that none of the guests had hot water—as if that somehow made the situation acceptable.
It is unacceptable for a hotel charging nearly $450 for a two‑night stay to provide no hot water and limited water access, and then treat guests as though this is normal. The issue is not only the water outage itself, but the lack of communication and the unprofessional attitude of the staff.
