    A quirky and beautiful venue.

We enjoyed our stay so much we added an extra day, very clean, very comfortable, and a welcoming host. Local transport into Bristol was quick and cheap, pub garden nearby but not open due to inclement weather, the property is cosy and barely noticed the rain once inside. Well equipped for self-catering with a welcome pack of tea/milk/coffee and biscuits. We chose self-catering as it's easier to cook for ourselves due to my food allergies, and were impressed with the array of cookware and utensils, I even want the frying pan for my home! there is even a dishwasher. The nearest shop is Waitrose at Gordano services, but be aware it's not open on a bank holiday as we found out, but only a 10-minute drive into Bristol to a supermarket. We would love to stay again and would recommend it to all. If anyone has mobility issues, be aware there are steep steps down to the entrance, but there is another apartment above ground level in the Orangery at the same site. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

This property is really quirky with loads if history to it and is a real hidden gem. Nick, the owner was very responsive to messages and provided lots of helpful information on things to do and places to eat. Everything you could want is provided for you here, even a washing machine and dishwasher. Everything was spotless and covid safe too. Nick allowed us to roam around the property grounds and we spend a few evenings sitting with a glass of wine in the orangery looking at all the beautiful plants and flowers. The pub at the end of the road is lovely and does very good food (Weds to Sunday) and there is a bus stop also at the end of the road, probably a 3 minute walk from the property to take you in to Bristol. Clifton is also worth a visit as is the Bristol Aerospace museum where you can visit concorde We will definitely be back at some point, thanks Nick

    Fab stay

It was a fabulous place to go for a weekend. Nice friendly pub down the road and also a great place to stay to look around Bristol. What was great about this accommodation everything was thought about from milk in the fridge to mini toiletries in the bathroom to colour coded towels and flannels.

    Perfect accommodation and host

Nick is the perfect host. He contacted us before our visit and was there to greet us when we arrived. He explained everything about the cellar to us and asked if there was anything else we needed. The cellar itself is the most unusual accommodation I have ever stayed in - it really is a cellar!! It is beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. The bed super comfortable and had good quality bedding. There were ample towels in the bathroom with an efficient electric shower. We have stayed in quite a lot of hotels and apartments in the Bristol area as we have family living locally but will now always try to stay at Priory Cellar.
