It's a nice pub that is part of the Thwaites chain. Menu doesn't cater well for Vegetarians and not at all for Vegans. Disappointing to see them burning coal on the fire in July, really thoughtless.
Room was lovely though

Having been to the bar area for years I was really looking forward to staying in one of the rooms.
The room was very nice, very spacious with large wardrobe and kettle with tea and coffee. The huge bed was so comfy, in fact the rooms couldn't be any better.
The bathroom was lovely and spacious too with a great powerful hot shower, and the towels were beautiful.
Lovely breakfast with excellent choice to cover everyone's needs.
Couple of the staff were miserable as sin and let the others...

Great choice for exploring Yorkshire Three Peaks & Settle to Carlisle Railway.
Spacious, well-equipped cottage in quiet location with excellent accommodation for living and sleeping. Attractive small garden for relaxing after our days walking in heatwave conditions.
Could not find any property information pack nor operate Bose music system. No instructions for used bedding or bins.
Would it be too much trouble to provide one ~20p dishwasher tab per day?

A very quirky cottage with a great many stairs. There are some things the owner needs to attend to, curtains coming off poles, blind in bedroom not opening properly and the bath needs resealing, it is rather off putting. All the chrome in the property is rusting bathroom fittings and peddle bins.

An excellent inn/accommodation with good food and reasonable prices. An old inn, much extend and beautifully decorated. Room are in the pub and 2 outside buildings. Only issue I would have is parking and access. . The site rises to the rear, both to the parking and the outside buildings. I use a walking stick and could just about manage the slopes and the stairs but severe walkers or wheel chair users would not. There is disabled parking (and electric charge points) availed. The pub is on the...

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Settle
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Settle is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices are generally lower. For a budget-friendly experience that allows you to appreciate the area's rich history and culture, a stay of at least 2 days is recommended. This duration is perfect for exploring the charming countryside, enjoying a walk in the hilly landscapes, and savouring a coffee or beer at local bars, all while mingling with friendly locals. Settle offers great value for money, making it an ideal destination for those on a budget who wish to immerse themselves in its cultural and historical attractions.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover great savings on your next trip to Settle, visit the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. To stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com. Additionally, the Smart Shoppingopens in new window tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you're more likely to see when rooms become available or prices drop, helping you secure that last-minute getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a better deal for your stay in a hotel in Settle. If you're in search of something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we will suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable to assist you in your search for a great value.
Consider your location: Opting for accommodation near major attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with a steeper price tag. For those seeking more affordable options, consider hotels situated in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to your intended destinations. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, as they are usually more likely to be budget-friendly and can provide a more authentic experience.
