Had a great stay. Staff welcomed us on arrival and assisted us with bags from the car even in the rain without any request. All staff were really helpful and lent us umbrellas due to wet weather. Room was lovely and spacious and was clean. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was plentiful with good choice and very tasty. The hotel is doing some renovations but it had no effect on our stay. Would definitely look to stay again

Nice room with great views, Breakfast was terrible cold and inedible. The most expensive hotel on our 11 day trip and the worst breakfast, didn't even both on our 2nd day. This needs a serious review. Staff were great location brilliant room nice, don't waste time or money on breakfast.

Nice hotel and pleasant stay
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and fairly modern. There was some scaffolding outside, and painters could be seen working on the exterior wall from the breakfast area. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the furniture or its condition, but I was informed that the property is under new ownership and currently undergoing refurbishment—so it’s likely not the final look yet. The location, however, was perfect for our needs.

Nice overnight stay.
Lovely hotel, great location, plenty parking, friendly staff, nice room - was a cosy double lake view, room was much bigger than expected, the bathroom was only small though but perfectly fine. Everywhere was very clean. Breakfast on Saturday was delicious with lots of choice.
However, if you’re going soon I would recommend checking with hotel about the scaffolding if paying for a lake view. It didn’t ruin the stay but it was a surprise.

Loved it
Great Dame very beautiful setting in the heart of Windermere.
Easy walking distance into town. Our room was small but beautiful and comfy. The bathroom was modern and clean.
Only one downside was the breakfast it was really not great. Service was excellent though.
