Booked a few months before the stay, but told 3 days before check-in, that the restaurant would be closed for evening meals. This was via email, and not seen prior to our stay so we were left a little disappointed.
The Spa was shut for 2 out of our 3 days here, and the pool sadly doesnt allow under 16s, so our plans for a first ever dip in the pool with our newborn went out the window.
So we stayed in spa resort, with no access to the spa (closed), no evening meal (nothing in walking distance) and unable to use the pool because they are not insured to have u16s in the pool.
We were told at check-in that the restuarant was closed for maintenance on the ovens, but later was told by another manager that the restaurant was closed to host a NYE party. Sadly, we never got to the bottom of this, and TBH, with half the services being unavailable to us, we expected more of an apology or atleast a discounted room rate. We sadly got neither.
Customer Services from the website was poor, and the reply from the hotel was less than amusing.
Wouldnt stay here again, due to the poor service received on this occasion.
Such a shame, as it has alot of potential, but when you shut half your services, after people make their bookings, you cant expect a glowing review. Sadly, this is one of those times I felt aggrieved enough to write something.
Ps. Breakfast is good (upgrade if you can) and the service was good in the mornings.
