Hotels.com advertise the property as “pets stay free” however this is not the case and Arrandale wanted to charge an additional pet surcharge after I had booked and paid. This was then waived when I pointed out the wording on hotels.com Part of the decision in choosing Arrandale was the park across the road so that we could easily walk the dogs first thing in the morning and last thing at night, however we discovered that dogs are prohibited in the park. Parking is on street, however it is difficult to get a space as very busy and parking is only 2 hours between 8am and 6pm. The apartments were okay, not the comfiest or cleanest, but nice to have a little extra space more than a hotel room with the dogs, and great to have cooking facilities and washing machine.

Arrandale House and Apartments accommodation was our base for a week's holiday for our family of 4. We stayed in a 2 bedroom self catering apartment which was very spacious, clean and well-kitted out. The apartment is walking Distance to and from Douglas Beach, shops and all public transport stops. We had a great week - top ratings on all counts. I would suggest putting a small fan in each of the rooms as the appartment did tend to get hot at times.

I was thoroughly satisfied with every aspect of my stay at Arrandale House. The Staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The meals were excellent and provided with care & consideration. The Manager was very friendly & helpful and the Hotel was kept incredibly clean.

A nice self-catering apartment.
We were upgraded to a ground floor apartment in another property (close to the original booking) which really suited our holiday plans for visiting friends and relatives and exploring the Island. Serious renovations were underway whilst we were there - our apartment was excellent and we enjoyed our stay - but additional attention needs to be given to the plumbing noise (especially from the outside pipes). Location was okay if you either had a car or enjoyed walking. Overall, it was a good place to stay for a week.
