2 night stay.
Lovely period hotel with mostly period furniture. Very welcoming and helpful staff. I was staying on my own but there was such a good friendly atmosphere I didn’t feel “on my own”. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Great Stay
Really nice place to stay, the room I had was also huge.
The service was very friendly and efficient, and the breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had.

It could of been better, the bed's was very uncomfortable as the mattress was dreadful. The sandwich was stale and I am not sure what the breakfast was as it all seemed scaled down.

We chose the Old Rectory as it was close to family/friends that we were visiting. Not only was it convenient it was a great hotel with such friendly and welcoming staff. The gardens around are also beautiful.

We have stayed a number of times. The rooms are comfortable, the staff always very pleasant & welcoming.
A really good breakfast to start the day.
A good location for seeing Shropshire from, park & ride for Shrewsbury is only a short drive, Attingham National Trust is also within easy reach.
We look forward to returning again.

Great place
Beautiful property with lovely gardens. Refurbished to a high standard. Very pleasant service. Only downside is the limited evening meal options, although local pub was very good.

Great service - very helpful and friendly, lovely food, bedrooms are dated, bathroom tired - the shower over the bath wasn’t to my liking - dangerous to get in and out of . I wouldn’t say it’s not a nice place to but I wouldn’t stay again tbh

Comfortable stay
We had a very comfortable stay at The old Rectory. The hotel is a beautiful old building in lovely well maintained gardens. Our room was very comfortable with everything we needed provided including a good range of toileteries. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a very good full English which we enjoyed immensely. I would definitely recommend the hotel which has a lot of character at a very reasonable price.

Pleasant stay
A very pleasant overnight stay. The staff were most friendly and helpful, even allowing us to sit in the garden room to eat our takeaway as there was no evening main menu. Breakfast was excellent. The drawback for me was that the bed was too hard and too short.
