We loved our stay in room 11, which spans the front of this beautiful old house. Creative architecture keeps the high decorative ceilings visible while adding modern amenities. Breakfast was nice and the on-site manager was lovely.

Ideally located to explore Porto, the hotel is a small but very welcoming stay in the city. Up the hill above the centre it is easily within reach of all the major sites. Good quality hotel with a good breakfast provided. The staff were very friendly and helpful

6/10 Good

Good position but lots of traffic noise.
Very well positioned accommodation, only 5 x minutes walk from Trindade metro station which is on the direct metro line from the airport. The area seems a bit run down but actually is fine and there are a few bars/restaurants along the street if you don't always want to go into central Porto for dinner etc. Very nice welcome when we arrived and the building is lovely and traditional and well decorated as was our room. Breakfast was also great, a good selection of breads/fruit/yoghurts etc attended by a lovely lady called Talitia? the main problem for us was the noise, our room was on the front of the hotel so I would think a room at the back would be much quieter. the road isn't busy but it is cobbled so any traffic is very loud and only a few feet away from the bedroom windows which have no sound insulation even with shutters closed so we were woken pretty early in the morning once traffic started. The sound insulation throughout the house is limited so when there was a child staying on the floor below and crying/screaming/singing early in the morning this was also very annoying and didn't hep us to have a lie in.. Our shower also leaked a lot so hand towels were all totally soaked with mopping the water up which is not great as the floor was then quite slippery.

A real gem. The guesthouse is full of character, has been tastefully renovated and our room was very spacious and well appointed. Great buffet style breakfast with heaps of choice, lots of fresh pastries, breads, fruit etc. Maria was delightful and super helpful. The guesthouse is in a great location. It's in a fun neighborhood with lots of bars, restaurants and quirky little shops within striking distance and easy to walk down into the centre of Porto, to the Metro etc. All in all it was perfect. Thank you.

8/10 Very good

The guest house is a charmingly renovated vintage property. The staff were friendly and helpful, but were only available during limited daytime hours. Our room was spacious, clean, well furnished, and the bed comfortable. However, it lacked some of the amenities one would expect with higher end accommodation, such as a TV or extra towels in-suite. While situated in a great location close to restaurants, bars and attractions, it was noisy at night and sound carried very easily throughout the property. The guest house made great use of local wares in stocking the room- for example hand soap and bathroom products. The included continental breakfast was thoughtfully presented, fresh and served in a pleasant dining area with an outside patio.

The perfect place for your stay in Porto!
We really enjoyed our stay here. Maria was a fantastic host, she was very helpful with recommendations of places to visit that we would have missed if it wasn't for her. Our room was superb and Maria's breakfasts were out of this world. The hotel is perfectly located, it's a short stroll from the train station and only five minutes away from the Metro.

Lovely guesthouse close to all amenities.
3 night stay at Porto vintgage guesthouse , room on the first floor , lovely room but as a light sleeper was awake on and off by traffic Noise going over cobble road. Room on back or a higher room would of been better. So much todo in Porto, the sight seeing bus excellent 48 hour ticket . The Porto Walking Tour was excellent 3 hours 7 ports to taste and visited 3 Port cellars .Alex our guide had so much information to share well worth a trip . We was there for New Years Eve fantastic fireworks , atmosphere, and lovely people. Will return for a summer visit .

Stylish hotel
Stylish guesthouse with artistic looks inside in a fine and renovated old house. Not for those of a certain age with heavy luggage and a second floor bedroom with no lift and no help offered to get there! Other than that a good location near Trindade Metro. Staff a little self/satisfied but eventually pleasant.

Great location with plenty to do and see
We went to Porto mid January, the light in Porto is fantastic and is something that the Vintage Guesthouse utilities brilliantly. The house is very tastefully decorated and the rooms are lovely and bright. The bedroom was beautiful and bright with a very comfortable bed and good shower but the real asset to the Vintage Guesthouse is Sophia and Maria, they ensured that we had everything we needed and pointed us in the right direction for sightseeing/bars/restaurants. The surrounding area is very hip with lots of cafes and bars. We left early on Monday morning and they had left breakfast for us in our room.
