We enjoyed Swanage this year since it was carnival week and a variety of things going on "Dinosaur Derby", lengthy parade with numerous bands, Samba one particularly noteworthy. Some new restaurants opened up, the PierHead seafood pricey but good.

Walks are good from the hotel. Gorgeous sandy beaches and spectacular Old Harry Rocks a must see walk.
"Parking is a nightmare all year around.
The hotel staff are lovely. The hotel is slowly being modernised. We decided to stay an extra night and was able to experience an updated and quieter room which was lovely
Both rooms were clean and tidy. "
"The hotel was really nice and the staff were very helpful. We were able to check in early as our room was ready and we were able to leave our bags at the hotel after checking out so we could go round the town.
The room was very nice, although the fridge wasn't very cold and one of the mattresses was very soft, a bit like a water bed but I slept ok.
Breakfast was amazing! The choices and taste, the services was very good and we weren't rushed to eat our food.
We didn't use the pool, but I'm not sure I liked the fish bowl effect where people from outside can see you in the pool.
Overall a very good experience. "
"We had a great time at Knoll House - a truly old British affair - vintage and well loved, quirky, fun, v friendly and efficient staff, good dinner, excellent breakfast. Perfect for a family break with plenty of facilities and brilliantly located. We took our small dog who was welcomed by staff. By the very nature of being dog and family friendly this is a cosy place, gentile but not fancy - ideal for active guests with plenty of space for grandparent to join too! "
