Lovely seafront hotel, well maintained.
Lovely hotel and some characterful communal areas and relaxing lounges. Clean and spacious rooms. Great location. Only issue was a loud fan noise coming from the kitchen - were told it would be switched off by 9pm but it wasn't - but after a follow up call it was switched off at 9:30pm.

Great for a night or two
Great location by sea front - slightly dated interior and feel to the hotel - maybe trying to keep to a certain look and feel. However everything was clean. Friendly staff, though wi-fi was quite patchy annoyingly.

Really good stay. Great size comfortable room- whole public area spacious. Was a bit worried about dogs staying there but didn't experience any issues. Good bar and restaurant- both necessary as it poured down. Had paid for sea view which would have been lovely had it not been so wet and windy.

Delightful one-night stay
My partner and I stayed for one night in one of the Executive Rooms. The view was amazing, and the room was delightful. We also loved the front room with the lush sofas and chairs - a lovely spot to grab a drink. And the South African woman who greeted us at breakfast was magnificent - such a lovely person. Will definitely visit again if we come back to Eastbourne.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Our room was newly decorated, fresh and clean. Hotel reception staff very welcoming. Hotel public rooms are all very comfortable. Only downside is finding free parking, which we did a short walk away. Also, our room looked out of the back of the property over the kitchen facilities but we did choose this cheaper option. Overall a great stay and we would return.

Charming hotel where you want to take things slow and have tea or cocktails in the lounge (we did both: the afternoon tea was excellent). The staff is helpful, the rooms are big and confortable (but a bit hot when your room is not facing the sea) and the breakfast buffet has great options.
The beach is on the other side of the street, the pier is a short walk away and there was a lot of restaurants to choose from nearby. We walked to and from the train station easily and, much more strenuous but so worth it, to the Seven Sisters cliffs.
If I ever come back to Eastbourne, The Lansdowne would be my choice again.

We stayed in a family room which was clean and close to the beach, with some restaurants around. There is no USB socket in the room so need to bring your own sockets to charge your phones and devices. Pillows are too soft. Breakfast was included, with cold and cooked buffet for selection.

Overall the stay was comfortable. One of the rooms had a very dusty fan in the cupboard and the room was very warm so the fan was needed. In the same room the toilet seat was wonky. The other room we had was faultless. The breakfast was fabulous and service was brilliant

Good if you don’t book the basic room
The first room was poor. Very small and hot and dated. We were then moved to a better room with a sea view and much bigger. Really lovely. Only issue is the lack of air con and windows which barely opened. In the morning we were desperate to leave to cool down. Must commend reception staff who were amazing.

Nice hotel,staff friendly but a bit overkeen in the breakfast as asking what I wanted to eat before i had seen the menu.
I booked a twin for single occupancy but was given a tiny single room. They did offer to change it.
