At the Bullring Rag Market, you can browse fabrics and fashion items on sale at around 350 stalls. You can also buy vintage and retro clothes as well as gifts, haberdashery and household goods. If you just want to soak up the atmosphere, you’ll find plenty of seating areas and stalls selling street food.
The Bullring Rag Market operates 4 days a week, with Thursday usually being the quietest day. If visiting on a Saturday, you can avoid the queues by arriving around 9 am, when the market opens. The easiest way to reach the market is by taking a train to Birmingham Moor Street Station.

The Frankfurt Christmas Market Birmingham is an annual event that attracts around 5 million visitors per year. Here, you can purchase gifts, traditional festive snacks, and German goods and trinkets. You can also take part in games and activities as well as watch concerts and attend events.
The market usually runs from mid-November through December. Expect to jostle with crowds whenever you visit, but the festive atmosphere makes the trip well worth it. You can reach the market by taking a short walk from New Street train station.

Bullring Open Market

The Bullring Open Market is one of Birmingham’s oldest markets, having been in operation in some form or another for around 850 years. Here, you can browse a vast selection of fresh fruit and produce at around 130 stalls. As all isles are covered, this is an ideal market to visit regardless of the weather.
The Bullring Open Market is open 5 days a week, with Saturday being the busiest day. For a more peaceful stroll around the market, we recommend visiting on Wednesday. If you’re looking for bargain fashion items, you can find fabrics and clothing at the adjacent Bullring Rag Market.

Moseley Farmers’ Market

On the last Saturday of every month, around 60 farmers sell certified-local fruit, pies, cheese and vegetables at the Moseley Farmers’ Market. You can also sip a pint of a locally brewed beer and grab a bite to eat in the food hall. As it's just across the road at the Moseley Arts Market, you can also check out artworks and crafts produced by local talented creatives.
The Moseley Farmers’ Market is held in the centre of Moseley Village, where you’ll find plenty of quaint pubs, restaurants and cafés. It’s worth keeping your eyes peeled for special events that highlight the local culture, too.

You should check the weather forecast before heading to the Hoggs Lane Car Boot Sale. Rainy conditions may result in the closure of the market. Sellers are advised to arrive at the venue before 6 am. If you just want to shop, it’s best to arrive early, before the bargains are snapped up.

Most venues host multiple independent restaurants and large food halls that can accommodate hundreds of visitors. You can also kick back with a local beer while watching live performances.
Because opening dates and locations are subject to change, it’s worth keeping your eyes peeled for event updates and news. One of the most famous Digbeth Dining Club venues is located on Lower Trinity Street and usually operates over the weekend.
