issue with cleanliness
These are how to the room looked when we first entered. Been out for the whole day I rushed to the bathroom just to find out that the toilet bowl was left as in the photo with blood stain on it. I checked whether it was removable. There were strands of tiny hair in the bath and on the wall. When I pulled the mat out of the storage underneath, it came out wet as in the photos. There were drops of some creamy products on the counter bar and on the sink too. At this point, I freaked out and started to check everything. I found there’s a frosty white splash on the wall next to toilet bowl. The floor lamp did not work and by the time we checked out it still sat there not working. I informed the reception and the maid about these. The receptionist acknowledged and promised to have the room cleaned specifically on those spots I pointed out. After dinner, it was the same. Second day, it was the same. Third day, I was the same. Last day, it was the same. There was also blood stain on the bedsheet too. I told them. The maid said she did not understand English. Fine. The receptionist said they would have it changed. I used that stained bedsheet til the last day. I gave up. I have more photos as I kept checking everyday. Feel free to ask me for more photos The breakfast and the service at the restaurant could not be any better.

Lovely hotel but staff rude to younger customer
The hotel was lovely, very clean and in a great location. The staff were quite rude to me and my partner when we arrived though, even the doorman followed us into the hotel when we were checking in which felt quite intimidating. I understand we are young but we felt a little looked down on. But check in was speedy, even though nothing is mentioned about the £50 pre authorisation fee you have to pay when you get there. The room was small on the 6th floor but it had everything we needed for our stay. Complementary water and tea and coffee were great. The bed was super comfy and clean.

The rooms are VERY small and cramped. So small we could not open 2 medium suit cases without creating major inconvenience. It is an historical property, so their are constraints on how much they could renovate. That said, the charm and cleanliness does not justify the extra small rooms. One elevator was broken for our entire stay. Hot water was turned off for a few hours for repair. Overall, I would look around other prosperities before booking at this one again.

Our biggest disappointment was with the level of room service. One day they forgot to clean the room at all, another they just turned the dirty bedsheets upside down, don't know by which logic- or they didn't see, or just tried to hide it. but in general, cleaning was done very badly, basically, just rubbish taken out and towels changed, bedsheets once in 3 days. nothing organized or put to its place

Never leave reviews but must share that the room we initially booked (mews queen superior) had virtually no closet, the shelves were the depth of a medicine cabinet + space for 1 coat. We had to upgrade room & was still tight for 2 girls, clothes were on table, chairs -no storage. 0 cleanliness stains from products still there (they wipe around your stuff not under it), cups not cleaned well, had to call daily for things to be restocked properly. Benefit is location & some friendly staff. Not a 5-star hotel I would call it a 4-star boutique hotel, don't expect 5-star service.
