Lovely hotel and a great location as very central and within walking distance to most tourist sites.

The only part thats needs work is the organising of the breakfast room. Staff let people jump the queue and dont talk to each other about availability of tables.

Unexpectedly squalid bathroom arrangement
Really shocked that the ensuite bathroom had no door. I'm sure there are people who would be OK with this, especially as it was a single room, but to me, seeing the lavatory just to the left of me, when I was sitting in bed is unacceptable. The feedback I have had from the hotel's customer relations manager was essentially: well that's what our superior single rooms are like; next time, book a different kind of room (I'm only paraphrasing slightly). It seems I was supposed to anticipate that 'superior cosy single room' was a euphemism for 'nasty, cheap bed-sit vibe' but there was no hint when booking that I should expect this open-plan arrangement. For my recent visit to London, I had originally booked a more budget-type hotel but had changed my booking to what I thought would be a more comfortable establishment, to avoid this kind of squalidness. In my opinion, there was no practical reason why there shouldn't be a door and and it's absence spoiled what was otherwise a very comfortable room. If the hotel genuinely believe there is nothing wrong with the loo essentially being in the corner of the bedroom, they should make it clear in the room description and photos. The 'better luck next time' response from the hotel customer service manager just adds insult to injury!

It was ok
Hotel is in an ideal location for theatres and Covent Garden. We had a cosy room which was adequate for a 2 night stay. Tea and coffee failed to be replenished when room was cleaned. Hotel is large and not enough lifts especially at peak times . OK if you able to use stairs and we were only on 4th floor so not a major issue I would stay again but could be swayed by better deals at other hotels as this was not a cheap option.
