Mediocre location, horrible service.
Truthfully, the stay was mediocre at best. When I made the reservation, I added my girlfriends name so that she could check into the hotel if she arrived earlier than I did. She was traveling in from Paris and I was coming from the US. I arrived some three hours after she did only to find that the room had been ready for quite some time but they didn't notify her and let her into the room until I got there. Very inconvenient and VERY disrespectful At about 11pm on the second night, my girlfriend tried to use the hair dryer only to find out it was broken. I called the front desk and ask that another one be sent up. After 20 minutes, the concierge appeared at the door, asking to enter the room and check the hair dryer. He stated that the safety measures on the dryer might be preventing operation, insinuating that we didn't know how to use the unit. After discovering that the dryer was in fact inoperative, he left and returned 20 minutes later with a working dryer. This all took place close to midnight and could have been avoided if only they had brought one in the first place. On the last night, I arranged for a taxi to the airport for the next morning. At the appointed time, we presented ourselves downstairs only to discover that the reservation had not been made. The hotel called a cab, and one finally arrived 30 minutes past our originally planned time. The service at the hotel is horrible. The only bright spot was Kiernan, the doorman.

Good, location
We had booked for 4 nights. Location was central, many restaurants in the area. Short distance to Regent St, Oxford st and China Town. We had booked a twin room with two single beds, but when we arrived at the hotel there was a small double bed called queen bed in the room and totally different what we had believed we ordered. The whole room was small and there was very little space there since there was to much furniture in the room. For a 5 star hotel, it was a bit disappointing. I went down to the front desk to check if we could change our rooms. I think the staff behind the counter called Felipe. What he could then offer us was a twin room that was located on the first floor, but because of the renovation work that took place from 5 April with all the noise that could disturb us, we didn’t accepted the offer. He regretted that they did not have a better option, but we could check with his colleagues the next day to possibly get better options. The next day we checked, but he who stood behind the counter that day was not as polite as Felipe, and the offer was the same as the night before. We retained the room we got when we checked in. Since the hotel was under renovation, all guests got an offer of free continental breakfast without cheese and ham on the 8 floor. The breakfast room had an incredibly nice view. The service from the breakfast staff was good. One could see London Eye, Big Ben, from there and all the staffs there was nice. A nice start to the day.

Terrible Experience
Awful. On arrival, we discovered there was major building work going on at the hotel - this was never mentioned by the hotel at any stage when we booked. The complete ground floor of the hotel was being worked on so a temporary reception had been set up to the side - to access the rooms from the temporary reception involved taking the stairs to the 1st floor then taking the elevator. It was a good job my partner nor I had mobility issues or problems with stairs as we would not have been able to get to our room otherwise. It's disgraceful that this was not mentioned by the hotel in advance when they had all my contact details. We were told on check in that the restaurant was closed while the building work was going on so there was no where to eat available in the hotel. We were offered a free breakfast as a gesture of goodwill to make up for the state of the hotel, however we were told there would only be cold food available and no hot food. Went up to our room on the 4th floor - as soon as we entered, my partner and I both instinctively went over to close the windows as the room was so loud... only to find they were already shut and the room was just unbelievably noisy. We both agreed we wouldn't be able to sleep in that room so rang reception to switch rooms. We were told there may be a room available the next day but there was nothing they could for the first night. They then offered to switch us to Radisson Mercer St nearby which we agreed to - that hotel was fantastic.

A really lovely hotel in a great location.
This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. I wanted to treat my two children and I for my birthday and everything about this hotel did just that. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much bother. We arrived before the room was ready and they kindly looked after our bags while we visited Soho and China Town which is very close by. When we checked in later on, the very sweet receptionist has organised a bottle of Prosecco to be put in our room as it was my birthday. The lovely room was luxurious and very comfortable with a king size bed and a single 'camp' bed for my son.The free Wifi worked well. We had a view overlooking Leicester Square which was fun with all the things going on and yet there was no noise at all in the room. There were workmen in the hotel and building work going on but again, this did not disturb us at all. We decided to have breakfast in the hotel and it was delicious. Cereals, fruit, cold meats and cheeses, croissant, toast and a choice of a cooked breakfast. My children had cinnamon French toast with bacon and maple syrup and loved it. I hope we can visit again one day.

Great Hotel & location, the best service and team!
From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, Amazing. Superb service, from the entire team. huge thank you!! Filipa Pereira and the team- you are wonderful!! We arrived at 10 am, before we even entered, the lobby team unloaded all of our luggage (we had 10 pieces...) and Filpa immediately noticed that our daughters and us are tired after a long flight. she brought us into the lounge and took care of us like our family. arranged for hot tea and cocoa and a relaxing place to sit until our room was ready - and she made sure we are getting it at the earliest possible. the room was very accommodating, clean and spacious, we were able to choose our room via online check in - so nice... we chose room 711, great view, very big...VERY comfortable beds. the room was cleaned again when we left for dinner... so we came back and the beds were made again , nice surprise! the breakfast is in a very nice atmosphere, and the restaurant/lounge team is very friendly and professional. when we wanted to find a nice place for dinner, the concierge got us in to one of the best places we have seen, the OXO restaurant... great place to dine after the "EYE".. We were a bit sad to leave... Thank you Filipa, thank you and your team! The Ling Family
