The positives were that its in a fantastic location and the bed was very comfortable. However we was told there was a problem with our room at check in and we would be staying at their sister hotel next door. The room was small and looked nothing like the spacious one i had booked and shower barely worked

Shabby not chique
This hotel could be amazing but it feels tired and unloved. The staff were fine but not fantastic. The first room I was given was huge but in a basement and the mattress felt like a camp bed. I felt depressed in the room the moment I entered it. I asked to be changed and was moved to a room about half the size but on the 1st floor. That was better but no warning that it would be so much smaller. No safe in the room. Tea and coffee facilities were in an Alcatraz style wooden box nailed to the wall. The TV was pretty dated too and the picture was stretched off the sides of the wide screen. IT was not the sort of place I looked forward to escaping to after a long, busy day. I certainly did not entertain the idea of eating or drinking there.

Very good 8.0
It's great
In general it is great but could be even better if it provides slippers and toothbrushes.

Overall worth the £82 I paid for it and would stay again but would pay more for a better quality room. It was extremely small with no air con (small fan supplied but did nothing) and didn’t look like the picture it was advertised as. I ended up having to have a cold bath because the room was sickeningly warm however the plug and tap on the bathroom were grimy and not too pleasant. Staff extremely helpful and even brought up my dinner I had ordered from deliveroo.

In need of Maintenance but friendly staff
The hotel is in need of TLC. Cracks in tiles on entering the bathroom. Windows in need of a paint and maintenance.

Fair 4.0
On arrival staff were friendly and overall service was ok. However, regarding baby change facilities staff were very unhelpful and considering we paid £150 for a dulex double with a baby we were not impressed by the fact our room was a basement with little light. Room size was lovely, but the cleanliness only OK. I wouldn't reccomend for family stay, if we had been booked for more nights I would have asked for a different room or left the hotel.

Hotel needs modernising, bar area was nice but the seats uncomfortable, reception and bar staff friendly. Breakfast was until 10am but we arrived at 9.45 and it was being packed away, no offer of a hot breakfast and what was left of the danishes and pastries (one stale croissant and one pastry) was in a bowl with other left over bits.

Sent next door
Whilst on the hotel was not as advertised. We booked a superior twin but were given an older room in the hotel next door not in the smart building of the grange Whitehall. The room was clean and adequate but not as shown on the website. I am disappointed.

An enjoyable short stay
We chose this particular Hotel because of its location. Our room was at the rear of the hotel and lovely and quiet. The staff were friendly and the housekeeping services very good. I would slightly agree with other reviews that I read in that the rooms are a “little tired” and perhaps in need of some attention. My only concern was the lack of a grab rail in the bath/shower which could cause problems getting in and out of the bath but overall it was very comfortable and I would certainly recommend it.
