Not as expected
Rooms pictured online are not the only rooms at this hotel. There are sooms rooms which are very cramp, a tiny window and walls paper thin which can be allocated. Photos of these rooms are not shown online and we were allocated one by the automated check in. The room was unclean, very noisy, cramped and dark. The room was at the start of the hallway by the lift and so we were constantly woken up in the night. I asked about this room the next morning and the receptionist quickly moved our room which was much appreciated and was a room for which we saw and booked online initially. The hotel is in a great location and has some vreate extras like the free coffee and water in reception however on the whole I think it is not on the same level as other 4 star hotels at the same price.

Great location
I stayed for 6 nights in March 2017 for a work conference around the corner. I've stayed at Club Quarters in Houston previously so had similar expectations for this hotel. The fast internet, complimentary quick breakfast facilities, newspapers and computers are a plus as was the adjoining restaurant and bar. The room was suitable however I would have appreciated a fridge so that I could make my own cereal and tea/coffee as the in-room facilities were quite poor. The bed was comfortable however, being in the centre of the city of course there was some nighttime noise. The biggest letdown for me was the cleaning service. Upon check-in I found rubbish left from the previous occupant as well as a number of large skinflakes as if someone had peeled sunburn off in the corner of the room. A colleague staying at the same time found hairs in his shower at the start of his stay. I cleaned it myself so that I could settle in immediately. Twice when I returned to my room had things left behind by the cleaners; a bag of someone else's rubbish and a cleaning product. The hotel provided me with two breakfast vouchers by way of apology which I thought was generous of them. The gym, whilst small, was clean and the machines were in working order. Next time I come to London I will likely try another hotel as there are plenty around the area and I felt no driving force to take me back to the Club Quarters.

Pleasant, Affordable Stay in London
Our check-in was smooth & easy at a kiosk with the assistance by staff. The space of our room was a bit small (I did hit my shoulder against the wall by the slanted ceiling a couple of times going around the bed and I'm only 5' 2") but had everything we needed for our long weekend in London. Location was perfect for us - we usually prefer being just outside the busy tourist center with access to public transport. We were also excited to discover Leadenhall Market (the real Diagon Alley) was just across the street. Perhaps I was unfamiliar with the proper way to use this particular style of toilet, but we called the front desk informing them we had issues flushing it and they said someone would come... and no one ever did. Eventually we (the bf) figured out that you needed to ‘pump’ water in first before it actually flushed. However, I did love that each floor had a water bottle station with empty water bottles available for you to fill/refill on your way out. This is the first and only time I’ve seen this available at a hotel and I found it a great amenity. We actually kept that same bottle and have been using it throughout our travels in Europe. Also, there is a self-serve coffee kiosk machine available all day long.

Exceptional 10.0
Book this hotel! The location is so convenient. It's right next to a major tube station with quick, direct access to the rest of the city. There's great pubs and coffee shops right across the street. The room was HUGE for London (we could not believe the size!), and the beds were very comfortable. We had a nice view of the city from our window. Staff were friendly and they had complimentary snacks and purified cold water for all guests! This hotel is a giant bargain for the price - absolutely amazing! The only downfall was the air conditioning as it was hot in our room but we were on very top floor so we weren't upset!

Good Facilities & Service but bed dipped
Pleasantly surprised as hadn’t heard of CQ hotels, free coffee/tea in lobby, friendly service, efficient check in/out, good WiFi and computers in lobby, good sized room. The only problem was the bed dipped in middle so was difficult to sleep for 2 people without rolling together, needs new mattress.Located in business district with a few bars and shops.
