The worst service i have eve had in a hotel
Tired and delatipidated rooms, a spa were you have to walk 100 meters in the rain to get back too your room (no internal route form spa to hotel?) and dreadful service in the onsite Grill.
not value for money in any way.

Great event service but poor room and check in
We arrived at 4 to be told our room wasnt ready, and asked to wait. After a while the reception came over with a room key and card which wasnt in our name. So further delay and before coming back to ask if it was an expedia booking befor finally giving us a key.
The room overlooked the hotels ventilation equipment together with the associated noise. The bed was very soft and provided little support whilst the pillows were insubstantial.
On the positive side the event we attended was well run with good service and so we hive this a better rating than might otherwise have been the case.

Overall disappointing! Not a suite as booked, carpet all lumpy, no robes or slippers, no normal tea in roo, had to go to reception as no one answered the phone! Funrniturenin Barney’s all broken, leg kept falling off and couch was like seesaw! Jacuzzi in Spa did not have all the jets were working, outside furniture was grubby!

Good value for money, shame about the cleanliness
Unfortunately my room hadn’t been cleaned properly when I checked in. There was a cleaning cloth left out in the room and the toilet seat had urine on it. The check in went smoothly, the service in the bar and at breakfast was good. At the 11am checkout there was only one member of staff on duty so there was a queue and I had to wait ten minutes. Overall the hotel represents good value for money. The SPA is well equipped and reasonably priced. Shame about the cleanliness, maybe it was a one off..?

Arrived last Friday for the full weekend for a wedding. On arrival and check in we were informed after being given assurance that we could keep the same room for the weekend, but on arrival told our room had been double booked and that we had to check out on the morning of the wedding which was a huge inconvenience. We were informed that the couple who had booked to stay and whom had been allocated our suite had paid more which was a saturday rate, therefore we had no choice but to check out and be moved to another room. More money was clearly what Mottram Hall wanted and there was no consideration for the inconvenience. We would have expected more understanding, professionalism and compassion and we got none of the above.
We had to store our luggage and belongings in my friends room and had to do a number of trips back and forth which was a nightmare, particularly as i was part of the bridal party and the ceremony was at midday. Check out was 11am. The new rooms patio doors were wide open on arrival, which was concerning but in hindsight probably a good thing that our belongings hadnt been moved to the room sooner as these could have gone missing.
A complaint was made to the manager Charlotte who offered us a bottle of prosecco via email unbeknown to us and was unaware of this until we had left the venue and returned home. We feel this was not satisfactory and have received no further reply or follow up. The level of service does not match the expectation and costs paid.

Reception and bars slow and staff appeared inexperienced and lacking warmth. Rooms adequate but rather faded glory. En-suites poorly lit and very basic shower and bath . Door locks and wristbands repeatedly failed. Expensive for quality shown . Corridors between hotel and spa locked necessitating a walk outside in the rain. Golf facilities excellent. Main hotel restaurant adequate but limited menu and expensive
