Disgraceful fees for parking in the country + wifi

No tea and coffee making facilities in rooms ...offered, but penny pinching Untidy used old glasses in corridor But charging for parking in a village outside a town is disgraceful and leaves a very bitter taste of squeezing the pips!!

Comfortable, spacious evening meal needs work

Nice hotel, spacious room, large social, dining, bar area. Good breakfast but slightly disappointing evening meal. Very nice but incredibly small portion, almost the same as a starter. Couldn't feedback at the time as no one asked me how it was.

    Ok but not good

Food was good Room was dirty, dusty, moldy and had used items stuck in the toilet air vent. door gap let in so much light that we thought a light was still on. Nice firm bed but pillows were hard.

    Hit and miss

Had a beautiful room that was very clean and tidy, The only comment I would make is that there didn't seem to be enough staff. Breakfast was a nightmare. Tables not being cleared, having to wait for items to be replenished, everything seemed to have random places so had to work out where things were. And to be honest after finally tasting the breakfast i left it! Too dry and tasteless.

    Very rundown hotel

The rooms were spacious and ok, but lacked any water or tea/coffee. When I came down for coffee, I have noticed over -flowing mess of unwashed dishes there. My tea was served on a very dirty tray and the pot was stained. The rooms were noisy, all night we heard the other doors being shut and even people snoring next door. The receptionist moved me to another room next day. What hit me, it was very unkept gardens, cigarette butts everywhere and overall lack of cleanliness.

Not great, but ok for a stop over

It’s a pretty average hotel, expected more from the photos and the fact it’s a spa hotel. Outside is shabby and the car park is unimpressive with large skips/containers dotted around. The entrance is nice, but as soon as you depart that area there’s an odd smell, like an old hotel, and it’s in the rooms as well, which are in need of sprucing up. The bathrooms especially are rather grotty, but they serve the purpose. I was visiting as a stop over using Tesco Clubcard vouchers so it was effectively free and only £25 a room instead of the £75 without vouchers. Would have been much more disappointed had I spent that much! Everything is an added price as well. Parking is £5 and to use the pool it was £4 adults and £2 children. Unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance so we missed out on that. Wi-fi is apparently charged quite a lot too in the rooms. The listed times for meals were different at the hotel (though in our favour) and the website had higher prices for the pool so was nice to hear they were cheaper at the hotel, but accuracy would be better all round!

    Not A Bad Stay

Both Good and Bad Aspects Here. Firstly the good ! Staff here are both friendly and very helpful and nothing seems to much trouble for them. Thank you Holy and Marie on reception. Sue and Emma in the bar and especially Catherine in the Leisure Area. Rooms and big and look like they have been recently refurbished. As does the Bar and Reception area. Buffet Breakfast was excellent ! The bad starting with being charged for parking on the Hotel Car Park. What's next getting charged for looking out the windows. One person on reception at peak check in time. No Restaurant Open for an evening meals. Digital TV reception in the rooms a joke. Most of the channels came up with a signal to weak to show message. Spa Hotel ? but no working Sauna or Steam Room. On balance though not a bad stay and would return. Especially if they dropped having to pay for parking your car.
