8/10 Very good

Nice stay
Nice stay once again, it’s our 3rd time visiting Our evening meal was delicious & only thing that would have made the trip perfect was the face there wasn’t no bacon sandwich available for breakfast.

Set in a rural location, this is a quaint pub with accommodation. We stayed one night; room and bathroom was very clean and all that we needed. Loved the walk in shower. Breakfast was good, staff friendly.

Lovely return visit
Third time staying here and as ever it was fantastic. Requested a room nearer the pub ad my husband has walking difficulties and got our favourite Room 1. Wonderful meal the beef cheeks were excellent. Superb service from every member of staff. Our only criticism which i have fed back directly is we dont like the milk sachets used on the drinks tray in bedroom does not match the standard of the bedroom would prefer fresh milk perhaps in a small flask

This is the second time we have been to the Crown and Garter. We went because the area is quiet and we wanted to explore a bit more. Staff are friendly and chatty, food is good and the ambiance relaxing. The courtyard garden is beautiful and the grounds are well maintained. I’d recommend a stay here.

Just loved this place, all staff, afternoon, eve and at breakfast were all lovely and couldn't be more helpful. Lovely rooms, comfortable beds and surrounding a pretty courtyard. I would be very happy to go back.

The rooms were situated round a courtyard so there was no noise from the pub and they were clean and tidy. A fan would have been useful as the room was quite warm. Evening meal was good, breakfast was a bit mixed. Poached eggs were cooked just right, but sausage a bit spicy and we didn’t like the ketchup or beans

Excellent ! We will be back… we were stuck in traffic so ringing ahead, we were able to order food and they kept it warm. My partner, tired from a week in hell at work knocked her wine over..another appeared as if by magic. I had to make an important call … they, without being asked turned music down.wow. The staff are amazing, as are the rooms, bed, bathroom and food..we will be back ! Many thanks guys.

4/10 Fair

Check-in was limited to 10pm, when calling to say I would be 5 or 10 mins delayed, I was told check-in closes at 10pm. I asked if it was possible someone could wait 10mins, I was told check-in closes at 10pm.....speechless. Room walls are very thin, people say drinking in courtyard all night, very loud drinking till late and then more on the porch too later on.
