Very noisy room
Although the hotel and room were low-budget, and I wasn’t expecting too much, you’d expect at least a good night’s rest for £70. This was not the case though as my room was located in-between the kitchen and breakfast room and I was woken up by guests coming for breakfast at 8AM on a Sunday morning. Should not be too much of a problem when you’re planning to get up early, but if you’re looking to sleep in, avoid this hotel or at least room number 16.

All good until early morning!
Nice comfortable hotel in a very convenient place. Only down side was the noise. We were in the basement and it was lovely and quiet until the early hours, then very creaky floor boards, and I think we must have been close to the kitchen because there was lots of clanging and crashing so we were up and out by 09.00! Shame because it has such a lot going for it. The triple room we booked was clean, comfortable, perfect temperature it was just a shame about the early wake up call!

A less good stay than on previous occasions
We've stayed at the Jesmond Dene before and been happy with it, but on this occasion we were told we had been given an 'up-graded' room - 'up' being, as it turned out, the operative word! We were actually housed, in an admittedly perfectly acceptable en-suite room, on the very top (third floor) of the nearby Princess Hotel, which appears to have some association with the Jesmond Dene. However, the Princess Hotel has no breakfast room at all, so we had to go back to the Jesmond Dene for breakfast, where on the first morning we had to wait for quite some time before a table became available. Because we had appointments to attend, we were, in fact, on the very point of leaving to use the Costa cafe over the road when a table was found for us. The actual breakfast is reasonably good, and the man in charge of service there is charming, but in several ways this stay was less convenient than we had hoped. There is a point beyond which 'sweating the asset' starts to disadvantage the customer, so we shall probably look elsewhere on our next visit to London.

The staff were very helpful and the apartment was clean, modern and comfortable and in a great location. Tear value for money.

A surprise not to have an en suite toilet

Suited my requirements well. Friendly staff, clean and convenient for St Pancras. Complimentary breakfast. Stored bag for day while I travelled around.

Not worth the money
I was put in the very very top room. Could not shut my window in the 32 degree heat. The fan that was in my room was on a timer, so there was no way I could leave it on to cool the room down. There were builders at eye level outside my window when I woke up, and as I said before, I could not shut the windows. The bathroom, in which I shared with 2 or 3 other rooms was very very small, and I could touch all walls whilst standing in it, always smelt musty and unclean. I felt very unsafe in my room, and as my first solo stay in London, after paying almost £80, I was hugely hugely disappointed with only receiving a single bed and a sink in my room. The chair to the desk was unusable, and looked more like an antique to be on show. I'm so very glad I only stayed for one night. Because even that seemed too much

Absolutely amazing! We stayed in a 3 bed room, and the room was so spacious! The decor is lovely and the hotel is literally a minute walk from the tube station. It's just a pity that the wifi was weaker on one side of the room.

ill use again.
Location, price and service make this an ideal hotel for a London visit.

OK, but needs some redecorating
staying in room 7, with a shared bathroom. Beds were comfortable with good quality, very clean bedding. However, the decor was tired and tatty with ripped wallpaper. Bathroom is very small plastic ‘booth’ like on a ferry. A larger person would really struggle and ventilation is not adequate so the room is very hot and damp after use. All staff we spoke to were very pleasant and helpful
