The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit tired but our room was clean and had everything we needed. I couldn't get the TV to work but that wasn't much of a problem. There was a loud whirring noise on and off on the second night woke us up but it did stop eventually. The hotel was reasonable priced and close to the aquatics centre where my son was competing.

Receptionist was lovely. However the room was had lots of mould in, the toilet seat was fully broken, the wallpaper was coming off the walls and there was stains on sheets and towels.

Had to change rooms because booked room was in very poor decorative taste like being in a brothel. Staff very helpful and changed our room. Dog biscuits and hair all over the floor, but warm and comfortable. Furniture could do with updating as well. Will not be staying again.

I stayed here twice in a week, with a great location across from Sefton park, close to the city centre for great access anywhere in the city. Great hotel, big rooms, Hassan was a great host very helpful from start to finish

I got a parking ticket in the post, after informing them my car reg to the mobile phone. I've just rang them again to resolve. Hopefully this will be resolved

We ended up leaving as soon as we saw the room. Window wide open to hide the stench of mould. The reception area was bare, we were handed a piece of paper with a long numeric code hand written on it which was the access code for the room….shown to our room, it was unfit for human occupancy. Left immediately, told the fella at reception that the room wasn’t fit, he wasn’t shocked or surprised. Passed the heavily sedated hooded guy loitering outside the hotel and jumped into a cab, onward to an actual hotel. Give this place a massive wide berth….go stay on a park bench instead, you’ll be safer.

Overall very good. Shared a room with 5 adults making it £55 for two nights each. Very friendly manager. Room was clean and had a small selection of teas, coffees and soaps. Codes on the doors with 24/7 access for night outs.

However the warren of doors and corridors to my room, no dead lock on my door and comings and goings left me feeling unsafe in my room. I wouldn’t recommend this for single female travellers.
