I thought the new building was good, spatious and clean. Two issues that were less good. There was no bath and the kitchen was too small to use to cook things. This is not the case for all rooms so it’s worth checking when booking.

Relax and recharge your batteries at Beach View
Beach View is an excellent place to stay, if you have been to the island before. It is ideal for self-catering holiday, (although the Sugar Apple café/Restaurant on site is very very good), with a car rental as the local vicinity has very little to occupy your time. The rooms are very spacious. The beach, in front of the hotel, is very small and quiet. The hotel is very clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Everything you need can be organised by the reception. Swimming pools, small Gym, Spa and Car Rental all on site. Excellent Sugar Apple restaurant run by Mike and his team is the star attraction of the Hotel.

Barbados Revisited
Well appointed, spacious, very well equipped and clean apartments. Felt like a home from home. Great location with pleasant beaches and good snorkeling a very short walking distance away. Easy transport on the doorstep and good parking facilities. Lovely pool amongst well tended gardens. All staff very welcoming and friendly. Visible security 24/7. A pleasure to buy fresh fish from across the road at the govt. fish market and cook up for lunch with a great view of the Caribbean Sea! Nothing to fault!

Great people, great say going place
The staff were really helpful, the place well kept, the apartment was very big for us two. Some great little touches that made a big difference, and fab view from balcony. The only downside was the noise from the road in the morning but we got used to it. Also the air con was set to save energy which also took some adjusting, but all done to save energy which is great.

100% Based on Location, Value and Service!!!
I'm a solo traveler. This place would be 100% ideal for couples or family with children. As a solo guy, it was great for me, but perhaps there is a location in Barbados closer to "the strip" or maybe near the Cruise Port. That being said, this place was 100% perfect for me. My flight was delayed so I paid for a day I wasn't there. On my last day, I asked for a late check out, at 3pm, as my flight was at 6 pm. No problem what so ever! The rooms are luxury. The air conditioner kept it cool, as I like it. The room had a nice balcony with two comfortable chairs and a little table with 2 more chairs. In my mini-fridge, there were two bagels, butter, cream cheese and some milk for coffee. It had a note, "with our compliments". The reception desk folks were very kind. They booked for me a sailing catamaran cruise and a tour of the island, Harrison Cave, animal preserve and Bathsheeba beach tour. he hotel also sets up a shuttle that took us to Oisters (a little town with many food stalls for fish dinners and beers). The hotel had two pools (that I saw) and one near the hotel bar. It was a very comfortable place to chill. Many of the tourists here are British on holiday or honeymoon. I greeted them with a "G'Day Mates!" and had some friendly conversations. There is a gas station about 3 minute walk down the road, so you can stock up on beers, soda, chips and "gas station food". There is a fish fry shack across the street (Friday and Sat nights) and some local eateries.

Beach View Not for me
the Hotel overall was good; However there were too many flying insects getting in the rooms, and all the hotel did was give us bug spray. There was no dining table where we could all sit and enjoy a meal. The pool was great but the area was lacking in fun things to do and pretty expensive.

Very good value
Hotel location is very good and near all the main touristic areas of the west coast (holetown). Staff is great , very friendly and helpfull. Beach is just across the street and is very nice and child friendly. We had a 1 bedroom suite on the old side, which has a nice view of the garden, pool and the ocean. Also very handy that you can rent a car at the hotel, so we didn’t have to rent a car for the whole stay just when necessary. All in all very good value for your money (compared to hotels in the area) and would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially with younger kids. It’s a pity we missed the thursday cocktail nights, as they we’re cancelled in the period we we’re there.

Lovely place for a Caribbean vacation
First of all, Beach View is across the street from the beach. That’s what you get for less than $500/night on the West coast. But it’s close enough. And I shouldn’t spill it, but the beach has some of the best snorkeling anywhere on the island. It’s no Bora Bora but still. You can also walk north for a few minutes to Paynes Beach, where you can rent chairs and umbrellas. There is an amazing bar/restaurant across the street from Beach View. It’s expensive but you should go in for a drink at least, because the view is marvelous and the whole place is belongs in a George Clooney movie. The hotel has two parts, old and new. Our room was in the new section and it was gorgeous. Luxurious comfort, huge bathroom, a big balcony with comfortable chairs. We liked the grounds of the old part better - lush tropical foliage everywhere. The best pool was in the old section. The one near the restaurant was strangely small and when we went to look at it, everyone was lined up in lounge chairs facing each other like they were waiting for a performance to begin. There’s a nice little fitness center and a sweet restaurant. We went to the Italian night. It may not be worth the money but the food was good and we liked the relaxed atmosphere, the older couples chatting with each other and drinking glasses of red wine. I guess all the partiers went somewhere cooler. You aren’t going to see the “real” Barbados from Beach View, but that’s not why you’re coming, is it?

Great Stay at Beach View
We had a fantastic time at Beach View. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The grounds and pools were well maintained and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. Location is perfect. The owner was hands on and his cocktail party was a blast! We will definitely be back.
