A very very mixed experience; just be careful which room they assign you- what they called traditional rooms are actually tired and rather disappointing, with horrible threadbare carpet outside the door, and cracked bathroom floor tiles.
I complained, and they told me - terribly sorry the hotel was full so I couldn't change rooms, but then I threatened to actually just leave and pay for another hotel room elsewhere, they magically conjured up a different, newly refurbished room. So actually it was possible for them to move me in the first place. The newly refurbished room was actually very nice actually and in line with what I expected - stylish, clean ,modern and super nice. So my experience was a tale of two halves, just be careful which room they assign you.
Finally, they shouldn’t be marketing rooms with that level of deterioration. They claim to be a high-end boutique London hotel, and given that, that’s just not acceptable. It's back to the Standard hotel next door for me next time, I’m not willing to take the risk with the Merago again.
