Nothing was too much trouble and it was nice to get a real feel and understanding of the local area. The garden is a real treat!

We really enjoyed the warm, homely hospitality at this wonderfully traditional B & B. Our bed was super comfortable. The Wif-fi was excellent. In the morning Yolande cooked our breakfast as we chatted. Absolutely delicious. Pancakes to die for. Recommend.

I arrived to a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the wonderful husband and wife hosts, who by their own admission are classic car ‘petrol heads’ (kit-cars a speciality). This traditional B and B has all the expected comforts and a breakfast menu ‘not to miss’ incorporating many home made options. A truly delightful stay; and I will definitely return.

Check in stopped at 20:00 … after 20 minutes driving up and down unlit country lanes to eventually find the place… I was refused access as I were past the 20:00 check in time.
A very rude, condescending and disrespectful attitude from the property owner … disgusting

The hotel is in convenient location for access to main routes to the attractions nearby. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was most enjoyable. Parking is easy. There is a large garden the owners take great pride in.

Loved this guesthouse. Very homely. A great selection of books. Very comfortable bed and I had a gorgeous hot bath I soaked in after a long drive. Very relaxing. Lots of choice for breakfast and home made buns made that morning.
Took a hike in the garden that was full of various plants and statues and water features. If I had the time I would have liked to spend time between garden and bedroom just reading. A great place to retreat.

I first stayed at Brownhill in 2006 while I was helping my daughter to settle in to her first job, at PGL, Boreatton Park. To give her space and time to settle in, I stayed at Brownhill House each time she had a day off, for her first few weeks, and travelled myself in between visits (to show her that if Mum can do it, then so can she!).
This is probably my last trip to the UK, and I chose Brownhill again as it's close to the Ironwork Centre near Oswestry.
The place is still as lovely and inviting as before, and Yolande is just as lovely as she was last time. Breakfast was perfect for me again, and I'm really glad I booked to stay there again.

Had difficulty locating as there is no sign outside. Had to use the map on their website and hope I was at the correct place. Free but limited parking. Owners were friendly and had upgraded the booked room. Old quaint property but homely. Free WiFi but only a small TV in the lounge. Nice en-suite and nice breakfast with good choice. Enjoyable overnight stay.
