The location is ideal. Lovely and quite with clean and tidy rooms. Garden was nice with seating area and a pond. Checking in was easy, just call through at reception and a door code is provided . Ample parking . Nice stay.

Arrived earlier than scheduled check in time and was greated by a believe a cleaner/maintenance member if staff. There was no one at reception. He texted someone to advise if had arrived and then gave me my key code for my room and I paid him £3 for parking in cash. Room was good for what you pay. I paid extra for my own toilet. Free WiFi. Window sills were a bit dirty and curtains/nets a few rips but otherwise clean and cosy. Nice and quiet, didnt hear anyone else there. Slept well.

3 of us stayed in the 3 single bed family room on a room only basis the room was extremely clean with en suite shower room. The beds were very comfortable tea and coffee was supplied and when we needed more milk they bought us more. The room also had doors out to a little patio area overlooking a pool with fish and a lawn beyond.

We appreciated the efforts at recycling, the outdoor eating area, the chance to do some washing. The room was too small especially for a four night stay. When we commented the ‘receptionist’ said that they had upgraded us from a shared bathroom which was not the case as we had booked an ensuite room. We received an email about paid parking but out booking included parking. Reception over a telephone is not satisfactory.

The room was clean but very small for a double bed, the shower and toilet were built in to two corners of the room , which worked i suppose. It was a cheap place to stay in the area we needed to stay in. We booked in via an intercom telephone. This was unusual but worked ok. The lady who booked us in waived the on site car park charge, and also the dog extra charge. I would have challenged the dog charge being £23 ? for one night had she not just dropped it as she mentioned it over the intercom. If we had to pay for on site parking AND the dog it would have been an expensive stay . We payed £68 as we had some expedia points to use . If we had payed the standard price i think it would have been too much for the size of room . I dont mind paying up to £10 extra for the dog, but could not see why there should be a charge for parking a car in site . Oh, and our rooms window would only open an inch or two. There were instructons to open it further but they did not work. . It was a good job the weather was unusually cool for July! The only staff member we met was in the morning when we were leaving who was very pleasant.
