Value for money
Value for money. The building is old and creaky and would benefit from a refurb but it is clean and staff are very friendly. All in all we enjoyed our stay

Handy for Wastwater
A bit down at heel but comfortable and welcoming. Excellent food and drink. Typical of a lot of Lake District pubs. Dogs in the bar. Open the bottle yourself. Not double glazed yet but still snug and warm. We stayed in a good sized room with a large shower and tea/coffee facilities. Good English breakfast with option of kippers or porridge. Just the place to shelter from the English summer.

Good Hotel - Some Bad Factors
We stayed at the Bridge Inn as a group of friends, over all we did have a good stay at this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, bed was very comfortable, good shower, good food. However, we were given a room next to guests that had dogs with them, every time we were in our room, all we could hear were distressed dogs barking as they had been left in the rooms on their own. We were woke up early very morning to the dogs barking. Luckily, we were not in our rooms often, but every time we were in our rooms, without fail we could hear dogs barking, the walls are very, very thin. We complained and were told by the staff members that there was nothing they could do. I loved the fact the hotel was dog friendly however there should definitely be a policy to stop dogs being left in the rooms on their own as this is not only unfair on the other guests but on the dogs as well. Also, be aware of the curfew, we were not told about this and were locked out one night.

Everything good to excellent except for the ploughmans...a little short on cheese and pickle!

Excellent
Lovely rustic place to stay, well stocked bar and excellent food. The service was also friendly and efficient and the rooms very clean. WiFi could do with improving but that’s hardly a showstopper.
