I'll be back!
This is a former Tune property, bought out by the managers. I stayed here a couple of years ago, and the balance between what I paid and what I got was good enough that I've been staying in other Tune properties whenever I visited London. I was returning to this neighborhood, and saw the name had changed, but the reviews were just as good as I remembered, so I stayed nine nights, and I can say that, as Point A, my experience was even better. As a Tune property, a lot of amenities were a la carte - you didn't pay for them unless you needed them - but some of those amenities were obvious enough that almost everyone needed them, like WiFi. As Point A, the high-runner amenities are now included. That's nice. I didn't need an early check-in, but they offer that, for a small enough fee that if you arrived in the morning, you'd gladly pay it. I was attending a conference at the Hilton Metropole, perhaps 200 feet away, and many of my fellow attendees were staying at the Metropole. I didn't talk to a single attendee who sounded happier about the Metropole than I was at Point A, and that's ignoring the price difference - our conference rate at the Metropole was more than twice the rate I paid at Point A. The neighborhood was great for dining, the location was convenient to Paddington station and to the tube stations, and the staff was consistently friendly and eager to help. This place rocks, at any price.

A clean and pleasant hotel with great location
Point A Hotel Paddington is a hotel I would happily stay at for my future London visits. First of all, the location is excellent; located in walking distance of Paddington station, Marble Arch, Oxford Street, Hyde Park, and other must-see London landmarks and sights. Across the street of the hotel there's a Tesco Express (a small grocery store) which is open 24 hours a day. The hotel is fresh and clean. The room was small, yet it felt spacious. Equipped with the essentials (free Wi-Fi, air con, TV, safe, en-suite bathroom), and with comfortable beds with storage space beneath, the room was everything I needed. The bathroom was also small, but the shower was quite sizeable. A multi-purpose soap for hands, hair, and body, both in the shower and by the sink comes complimentary with the room. Housekeeping of the room was done every other day, however, the trash bins were emptied every day. One can get new towels every day if you let the towel lie on the floor, but out of an environmental consideration you can let the towels hang on the hooks in the bathroom and they will only change them when they do the full housekeeping. The staff is pleasant and service minded, and always greeting you with a smile. I will certainly be back, and I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an affordable, clean, fresh, and pleasant stay in a great location.

Check in was fast and easy. Although I booked a room Double Accessible( room larger in size, based on the room descriptions ), that was not the one given to us. Did not complain anymore since we are so tired from our long flights, we just want to rest. They gave us a Double, space was very tight. Have to open one suitcase by the door, so you cannot leave it open or else there’s no space to walk around. Only 2 pillows on the bed 😞. The room is updated, not dingy and dirty. The room and bathroom, always clean. AC (which is very important to us) was a thumbs up! Bus and train station/stop is walkable. Theres a mini grocery store in front of the hotel. Some restaurants near by. Saturday(4/13/2019), the night before checking out, I asked the front desk how much to do late check out and she said, late check out is at 2pm and it’s £30, so that’s an extra 3 hours because check out is at 11am. Then I asked her how about storing our luggage and she said, she’ll put a note in the computer that she’s giving us complimentary luggage storage, not sure how much is it if it’s not complimentary. Although, we did not use it and we did not stay for late check out. The next day on check out, the lady( I think her name was Gabi) the was on the front desk gave us complimentary coffees (that was nice!) then off we go! Hotel is a little bit out of the busy area of London, but because trains and bus are not too far, I’d rather stay here.

The location of the hotel between two subway station, around 15mins walk to paddingtion. The road is flat which it is very important if u carry heavy luggage. Both underground stations are in same line which is convenient, it didnot require to transit to most of the attractions. There is a supermarket nearby and it close very late, which is good for tourist. The room is clean. The shower is ok. it is water head type only (no handle/ pipe one), which might be important for some lady. The shower gel shampoo and conditioner is all in one type, you may want to bring your own if need. No teeth brush and toothpaste (which usual provide in Asia hotel, no matter how many stars hotel). The wifi is ok. The staff is helpful and welcoming.

Nice Hotel in Paddington
My sister and I were looking for a reasonably priced hotel to stay in for our week long trip to London. Our top must-have's were A/C (since we always seem to bring a heat wave with us), a lift, and either in Paddington to Kensington. It is about a 5 minute walk from Paddington Station and has both A/C and a lift. We arrived about 3 hours before check-in time but the wonderful front desk ladies could see how exhausted we were after arriving and allowed us to check-in early. Check-in was a breeze, we were upstairs in less than 5 minutes and they even gave us water to help cool off. Yes, we brought another heatwave with us. The room was small which was to be expected, but to be honest my sister moved one bed against the wall so we could at least use of the outlets and have a little better path to walk around room. The bathroom was also very small and definitely could not get dressed in the bathroom also, a fan is very badly needed in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable enough but the pillows need to be upgraded or provide two. They were pretty flat and we had to make them into a ball to be somewhat comfortable. At least the room had A/C!!!! We took full advantage of this. On the third day the maid's came in and cleaned and decided to turn off our A/C and open a window. We were upset because with over 90 degree F days the room was hot and there was no relief for over an hour until the room cooled down. We elected to have no service on our stay. No phone in room.
