Issue free, trendy & modern
Clean, modern hotel of decent room proportions, in a great area of London. I've stayed previously, and would return again.

Exceptional 10.0
The hotel is smart and stylish, superbly situated, and the room was very comfortable in all respects, and likeably quirky with a good view even on the "city" side (although the plumbing was very noisy in 823, and it wasn't clear where the noise was coming from, possibly the room above?). Regarding service, my booking confirmation via included bathrobes; the hotel said not, but still provided them within a few minutes of a request. However I had to go to the desk to ask because the phone was not working, and that was not fixed the next day as promised. We didn't use the rerstaurant or the downstairs bars (the restaurant looked a bit dark, the Lyaness bar looked good but we didn't get a chance to visit. Late on Friday evening, Valentine's Day, we braved the 12th Knot bar. Brilliant views on both sides; glasses of good and not too expensive wines, good value snacks, but music far too loud, insistent and intrusive for our 70-year old ears - shame!
