Coolest hotel ever
This is by far the coolest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a bit intimidating when you walk in, at least in the evening after a long flight when the lobby is ROCKING and you are lugging your bags through what feels like a happening club! Once you locate the self serve kiosks and code your room key, you’re off to your room and, if you’re like my colleague and I, you haven’t even had contact with a hotel employee! The rooms are teeny and intentional with everything a traveler needs for a short stay. The bed is ample and super comfortable. While the rooms are small, the bathrooms are ample and the shower pressure a delightful refreshing wake up. There is traveler eye candy everywhere with quotes and quips about traveling and travelers, iconic British literature and artifacts all over the walls, a beautiful common ironing room on each floor, a roof top bar that feels like a library slash informal meeting area. (It doesn’t serve any food - weird - and the restaurant downstairs doesn’t serve the same awesome selection of drinks - so you’re either eating OR drinking.) The food for all meals was healthy and excellent and I was able to get a proper cup of coffee after weeks of traveling in non-coffee regions. Small complaints: The food is insanely expensive. It would be nice to see staff and be welcomed in some way. There are iPads to control lighting, window shades, etc. This is a cool concept but both mine AND my colleague’s crapped out.

Good 6.0
It's a shame when a hotel gets everything right and then one employee blows it in the 11th hour by refusing to do the right thing. We travelled all the way from Seattle and had a great 3-night stay. The servers in the bar were awesome, the room was perfect and the hotel was in an awesome location next to the Tower Hill station. We pre-paid for breakfasts (around $17USD) and later regretted it because the food was just sp-so but we didn't worry about it because at least it was convenient. On our last day there we came down for breakfast about 10 minutes before they put food away because we were scrambling to get packed up to check out. What was left of breakfast was pretty dismal - they were out of several items and of the remaining, much of it appeared to have been sitting for quite a while and didn't look too appetizing. I politely explained the situation to the woman (Christina I think) at the check-in and asked if we could just remove that day's charge from the bill and she gave a flat out no. She said let her know what we wanted to eat and she'd have someone go in the back and get it. We had a flight to catch (plus that seemed a little complicated) so I asked her again. My husband came down just then and politely asked her why and she said "those are the rules." He commented that it didn't seem like a very fair policy and she replied shortly "Well I think it is" and basically ended the conversation. It sadly tainted what could have been a 5 star experience.

Ultra Modern Hotel!
This is by far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. It is across the street from the Tower of London and literally sits right above the Tower Hill tube station. The lobby is an experience of sight and sound - ultra modern and hip - I wish my living room looked like this lobby. In fact, that’s what it’s like - a large hip living room, with a tv, sofas, lounge chairs, coffee tables, and a wide range of books and magazines. The wifi in the hotel is superfast and reliable throughout the whole property. I felt at home immediately! Each room has its own iPad mini which not only functions as your alarm clock, but allows you to control virtually everything in the room from the tv and its wide range of complimentary movies, the lighting, including the color of the lights, the curtains and window shade, and the air conditioner. There’s even a 24 hour canteen in the lobby in case you get the munchies. There was no need to look for a Starbucks in the morning because the coffee bar in the lobby made one mean flat white and had delicious pastries for sale. I really appreciated that two bottles of water were left in the fridge by housekeeping everyday regardless of whether I drank them or not. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Love the self-checkin/checkout.

Loved it!
I am a seasoned traveller and interior designer and this hotel really impressed me. I love the lobby area and the views from the 7th floor library bar. There are books, art, and knick knacks to look at everywhere! The design aspect is simply superb from the smallest detail. It is also intelligent. I enjoyed the mood lighting in the rain showers and thought the hidden storage area under the bed was clever. The techno side is also first class with mini ipads that control everything including the motorized blinds and lighting. The beds are large, 6ft wide and very comfy! I also really liked the dedicated communal ironing room with professional steam iron. I can't imagine how long it look them to style this hotel because it's so fun and unique. Everywhere you look there is something to study. The rooms are on the smallish but so functional because everything is cleverly built. One of the most impressive features is the automated check in and check out. It takes literally 15 secs to check in or out! Amazing! Two thumbs up! The location could not be better being right above Tower Hill tube station. My only comment is the closet space is very limited so more suitable for light travellers, solo travellers or short stays.

Very good 8.0
Nice comfortable Hotel, but won't stay there again
The hotel was in a great location in the center of London. The check in was easy, I did it on line earlier that morning, just needed to get the room keys created when we got there (a member of staff was there to help) The reception/bar area is nicely furnished with loads of sofas and comfortable chairs, there were also plenty of tables if you fancy doing some work. Had some large screen TVs if you fancy watching something whist having a beer or coffee. The down side was the incessant and bland music playing in the background. This music was also playing in the lift. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The room was a bit small but it was clean and comfortable. There was an Ipad to control the rooms lights, TV and blinds. Thankfully the lights did also have proper switches to turn them on/off. The bathroom was not in a separate room, but it was a opaque glass 'pod' in the corner of the room, but It was clean and the shower was great. Two downsides for me, 1. The hand basin was outside of the pod in the bedroom. 2. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, so if you wanted a hot drink you needed to go downstairs to the bar to get one
