Not happy.
The hotel is a very convenient location. But that's about that. The room we stayed in was in the basement and I do not recommend it as it was very uncomfortably hot. It was not possible to regulate the temperature of the room. The shower was leaking too. The room is lacking a bit of decor and is asking for more storage space like a chest drawer. The room is located below reception so we could hear every move. The view is directly to boiler room and it looked like a trash storage.

Noisy room
Hotel was clean, room spacious, staff good but we were in a basement room below the reception, all through the night we could hear receptionist wheeling chair around on wooden floor above our bed. You could hear every footstep when people walked into reception. Not a good night's sleep due to noise, pillows also very hard. When we told reception about the noise they said why didn't we ask to be moved,. Breakfast basic but OK.

Thank you, Hyde Park Boutique Hotel!
Excellent- staff generously accommodated me with a room upgrade when I was unable to walk up to the third floor due to medical condition.

Nice but needs a little attention to detail.
The hotel was nice, welcoming and had friendly staff. We were a little disappointed with the condition of the room. The fan didn’t work in the toilet, the shower basket was loose and hanging down and the door to the balcony had a broken locking system which was only half there. These minor things can make all the difference to a good or okay visit to a hotel as it did on this ocassion

Avoid !! Refused a room that was paid for!
I booked this hotel for my daughter and her partner. After having received the confirmation from Hotels.com that the hotel was guaranteed and paid for, my daughter arrived to be told she had to go to another hotel as they had no available rooms. The other hotel room was absolutely horrible. It was tiny, the electricity didn’t work and there was no ventilation. I complained to Hotels.com and after they called Hyde Park Boutiques hotel demanding an explanation, they miraculously found a room available. It was on a second floor and there was no lift. My daughter asked them to help with the luggage and they wouldn’t, instead, they moved them to a ground floor room (also available). This room wasn’t anything like the website pictures. The reception staff were very unfriendly and made their stay pretty unhappy. It was a terrible day, dragging suitcases from hotel to hotel to end up in a crappy room and being treated like second class citizens. Never again!!!

Poor 2.0
Avoid
This hotel is seriously over-rated. I was given a room in the basement, of which there are eleven, with a concrete wall against the window. The bathroom was ultra-cramped. Worst of all, when I went to leave they offered to call a taxi (plenty were passing by in the street). It was my worst mistake; they were slow when I had a train to catch; the 'fixed price' (I was not told this) was cash only and included a kick-back for the hotel, so was tice the price of a black cab. The price of the room for what it was, was at least £30 too high The Grand Royale around the corner where I had been staying was infinitely better, £10 a night cheaper with a nice public space and closer to the tube station. If you want my serious advice, avoid this, regardless of the price and stay at the GR ... you will be far happier.
