Great hotel next to the tube/train
The hotel is brand new, very clean, comfortable bed to sleep in, close to restaurants, shops and 10 min walk to tower of london, it's right next to Aldgate train station, it has everything you need including airconditioning which is rare in England. But the most of all, they have the most amazing staff. Special mention to Alex who immediately hooked me up so I could watch the season finale of GAme of Thrones which I missed due to my hectic travels. Kudos to Calum who was always ready to help with anything I needed. But most of all, Ezra who is the best concierge I have ever met. He took excellent care of me during ly stay at Dorsett City. He made arrangements, organized and booked all my trips and sight seeing excursions so that my experience was enjoyable. Right down to guiding me in using maps, trains and apps needed to relieve my stress in public transportation. He was proactive and paid attention to details, anticipated needs. He even helped me order food when I got back so late from a trip out of town. He was very patient and kind. I had a very positive experience in my stay at Dorsett City London. I highly recommend it.

Fair 4.0
The reception felt overwhelming, it felt more expensive than what we had paid and we hadn't expected it so this was shocking but a nice shock. The receptionist was not very helpful. He checked us in and asked us if we wanted to put money behind for extras. He didn't tell us what was included, no information was given on WiFi or breakfast. We asked where to go for breakfast and he said it was either on the first floor or the ground floor. No information on what the difference was or the time of breakfasts. The rooms themselves were nice, the lighting was very yellow and a bit dark which was very frustrating when trying to get ready in the morning. The only lighting that wasn't yellow was a ring light on a mirror that was too high up for us to use. They had a really cool phone in the room which acted as a guide during your stay. Unfortunately we couldn't get ours to work. There were no instructions for this in the room despite there being a huge folder of information. We went to breakfast on the ground floor. It was terrible. The menu was very limited, annoying as they didn't even offer us the full menu. I had to make substitution because of food allergies and the item was just removed from my order despite the waitress saying she was bringing it. It never arrived. There was no flow up from the waitress checking if we were okay, otherwise I could have raised this. It was a shame that the service from staff was so bad, it was such a nice hotel aside from this.

Very good 8.0
Had a great stay at Dorsett City. It's a new hotel so it was very nice. They allowed me to check-in 3 hours early on a Monday and the staff was very friendly. The rooftop bar was also brand new and they were fantastic and had great drinks! A few items to note: As of now, there seemed to be only unsecured public wifi for the hotel, so I felt a little wary of using the connection for both personal and business use. There were no ironing boards or irons in the room but they're available if you ask for them. The room itself and the full sized bed was a little small for what I am used to in the US but all in all not too bad from what I understand about room sizes and usual accommodations in the UK. It's a nice area and right next to Aldgate station. There are some good restaurants nearby and in walkable distance to Liverpool St, Shoreditch, and the Tower Bridge. It seemed like a fairly concentrated area for business travelers. It was not very loud in the room itself (I was on the 10th floor) so that was definitely a plus! The Black Sheep coffee shop next door was key!

Dorsett City London Review
This review is based on location and the room. I did not eat at the restaurant or go to the rooftop bar. The room is small but for one person, it was ok. I had a view of the church and the financial district, so that was a plus. The bathroom: Everything feels modern and looks really nice. There is very little room by the sink for your toiletries but there is a shelf behind the toilet. They do not provide a toothbrush or toothpaste and be careful when you rinse your mouth because your head will hit the mirror(the sink is pressed up against the mirror and the sink is small). I found numerous long hairs on the floor and in the shower, so that was disgusting. With a focus on quality and not speed, this could be an easy fix. The main room: the bed was pretty hard and the pillows looked fluffy but once you put your head on one, it sank to the bed with no support. While the carpet was dark, it looked and felt dirty. Most hotels I stay at offer slippers but they do not here. Within minutes, I could feel my feet starting to not feel right. I asked for extra towels and made my own carpet path. I could never find the happy medium with the ac/heat that that was frustrating trying to sleep. Don’t call housekeeping because the line doesn’t work, go through the front desk. Location: you are a walkable mile from St. Paul’s Cathedral, Tower of London and Tower Bridge! The bus is across the street and you are next to the tube. Ps you are next to Aldgate NOT Aldgate East.

Perfect hotel for a citytrip
It was my 8th stay in London and I think it was one the best hotels I stayed in London. On the one hand the hotel is finished completly and there were several things which will be fixed in the near future, like the anouncement in the elevators, but on the other hand the already finished areas like the restaurants and rooms are very confortable and nice. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and attentively. The rooms are designed in a modern style which fits perfectly to the whole hotel concept. A special commendation I would like to give to the restaurants in the hotel. The international and national kitchen is delicious and cheap if you compare it to other restaurants in London. Furthermore they offer good wine, whiskeys and special cocktails, which I never saw on a menue before. Also the location is very atractive for a citytrip in London. The underground station is right under the hotel (you don't hear any noice from the trains) and the Tower of London is just 5 min walking away. In addition to that there are a lot of restaurants and pubs around the hotel. All in all I just can recommend the hotel to all people who would like to have a nice vacation in London.
