Let down by service
Hotels.com site advertised room upgrades for gold members. On arrival had to take std room & go down 3 times to reception to speak to a manager & was told they dont honour that Slow check in. Staff ok but never made to feel particularly welcome. Rooms routinely still not cleaned having been out from 8am to 4pm. Regularly disturbed after 7pm to see if rooms had been cleaned. Coffees not up on 2 days running. Phone in room not connected to anything so had to physically go down to reception if needed anything. I requested coffee at 8.30 one evening and was told it would be right up. Still not brought up by 11.30 PM. Just not the service you would expect for a hotel costing £180 per night. Rooms pleasant. Location ok for southbank but not great transport links to central London & good walk to get to any attractions. Overall I wouldnt return & I spend nearly 2months a year in the capital so have a lot of experience of hotels/apartments in London

Perfect customer service!
We had a wonderful stay at the Marlin Waterloo. The customer service at check in was excellent. When I had a little problem, it was dealt with in a fantastic, customer friendly, kind and considerate manner, something so very rare these days. Shame about the bar being so quiet so no atmosphere for a nightcap but that is not hotel fault. A lot of choice in London. Perfectly positioned and central to so many things. Stayed on 9th floor and the views were stunning. Definitely recommended

Nice location very stylish hotel/studios.
Reception staff both at check in and next day check out were super nice and great customer service. Unfortunately my late check out was not known by the cleaning staff and twice woke us up before even ordinary check out time at 11:0 am :((. Was also talked too in very bad way and manner as well as we were being asked to leave the lift on 3 rd floor on our way to lobby as one of the guest lifts had got a note at ground floor saying used as staff lift. But nothing displayed of such info on any guest floors. So having being told to get out and wait for another lift as taxi was waiting outside by then felt very unfriendly and not good. It was a staff member with beddings or towels in a trolley. Otherwise very nice and quiet room/studio as nice tasteful design of a kitchen in entrance hallway of the room. Very comfortable bed and clean room and bathroom.
