Great place to stay so quiet all around. The rooms are so nice and the bed is so comfortable. The service is excellent such nice staff from the reception desk to the restaurant staff to the cleaners so polite and courteous. The breakfast was delicious and even the dogs got given sausages for breakfast. As I said lovely place to stay. Even with our dogs. Thank you to everyone that works there.

This is a pleasant place to stay if you are either coming back from the South coast or wanting a quiet village rest and it serves great meals. The location is quiet and there are gardens to sit in or a lounge if cool. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a coffee/tea tray in the room and a free bottle of water and complimentary showergel, soap and shampoo. There is plenty of parking.

Old Manor House non chain hotel. Therefore traditional values and great service. Rooms as expected not super swish more quirky but comfortable. Room 19 unfortunately (only) has stand in bath shower with no screen which may not suit all. TV was not working but not an issue on one night stay. Food excellent especially breakfast options.

Second time we have stayed here. Very reasonably priced. Location is lovely. Building is beautiful. Service excellent. Dining area is spacious and the tables aren’t too close together. We had dinner which was delicious. While the menu was traditional and a little limited if you’re vegetarian or vegan(we are not) my husband loves a prawn cocktail and they didn’t skimp on the prawns! Nice flowing music in the background. Spacious bedroom and very clean. Breakfast was very good and tasty. Nice choice of fruits. The service is very efficient and you get the impression nothing is too much trouble. The hospitality industry is still bouncing back after the pandemic and it’s good to see this hotel working hard to keep guests happy. Exceptional value for the money all round.
