"The hotel itself is located in a beautiful and quieter part of the island, well away from the hustle and bustle of Funchal, which is very orientated towards tourists , busy and very hilly. The hotel and the area has a more relaxed atmosphere and environment as you are located in a town which is more realistic of the real traditional Madeira. The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable, spotless with fantastic views of the sea. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They are happy to go the extra mile to help with any additional needs you might have. As a disabled daily wheelchair ♿️ user the help from the staff was greatly appreciated. There are no large hills to or from the hotel to the town centre, restaurants, shops, banks etc and the beach to have to negotiate unlike Funchal thankfully. I would be more than happy to return for another stay at the hotel and area."

"Beautiful, safe and secure resort with excellent facilities. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We had a sea view room (adults only block) which was really spacious, quiet and clean. Great selection of restaurants to eat at but we couldn’t get booked in to most for dinner due to already being at full capacity however, we were only there for 3 nights so if we had stayed longer, we would have been able to experience the different ones. The world buffet was always an option if you can’t get in to eat at the others. Overall we were very impressed for a first time all inclusive hotel break and we would definitely return back for longer next time. "

"Fabulous adults only hotel. Super friendly with a green eco approach with cleaning the rooms, towels etc. We enjoyed buffet breakfast style restaurant with menu options too. The Michelin restaurant Desarma was the best experience, we added the wine flight to complete a special Birthday for my partner. It was a tad Nicer than The William restaurant at the Belmond Hotel. My score 4 stars for cleaning only because the windows were bit dirty and the floor around the windows where the tables are was quite dusty. Easy to walk down to town although up hill coming back, but do able. Taxis plentiful everywhere."

"The property was in a very convenient location to get to restaurants in the town, and to attractions in the area. Breakfast buffet was great. The weather wasn’t very cooperative, so we did not have a chance to enjoy the pool. Air conditioning didn’t work well. "
