Days Inn by Wyndham Chesterfield Tibshelf

Days Inn by Wyndham Chesterfield Tibshelf

10/10 Excellent
"On arrival, the receptionist was friendly, professional. I asked for a sheet for my bed so I could remove the duvet/cover, she provided it straight away. Very clean. If anything, I would have appreciated a little fridge in the room. However, it wasn't advertised as having one, so it was definitely not an expectation. Just a thought. Good value for money and will definitely use Tibshelf again, if I'm in the area."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Derbyshire

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Derbyshire is from January to March, when hotel prices are typically lower. To fully appreciate the key landmarks and cultural attractions, a stay of at least 2 days is recommended. This allows you to explore historical sites, cultural venues, and stunning natural landscapes, all while enjoying a budget-friendly getaway. With prices potentially dropping during this period, it's a great value for money for those looking to experience Derbyshire's rich heritage and beautiful scenery without breaking the bank.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals in Derbyshire, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions that could help you save. Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're informed if rooms become available or prices drop. This way, you’re more likely to secure a fantastic last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel’s location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, having some flexibility with your travel dates might help you find a better rate for your stay in a hotel in Derbyshire. For those seeking a unique experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and could offer better value. When you make a booking through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price seems a bit steep, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you secure a more affordable option.
  4. Consider your location: Staying in the heart of major cities in Derbyshire undoubtedly offers convenience, particularly with local attractions just a stone’s throw away. However, this prime location is often accompanied by steeper prices. In contrast, smaller towns and rural areas are more likely to be affordable, allowing for a more budget-friendly stay. For those keen on saving a few pounds, opting for accommodation outside the city centre might be a wise choice, although it may necessitate some extra travel to reach the key sights. Additionally, exploring nearby cities that boast their own unique offerings can uncover a range of attractive and economical options for visitors.

Best time to go to Derbyshire

Derbyshire has a varied climate due to its size, so the best time to visit depends on the region and your preferences for weather and crowds. The peak travel months to visit Derbyshire are April, July, and August, which see a higher number of tourists. During this peak period, the weather is mostly cloudy, accompanied by no to light rainfall. In contrast, October to December are ideal if you're looking for a calmer vacation, marked by light rainfall and mostly cloudy conditions.
