Nice budget hotel in El Fuerte.
This hotel is very clean and located in a great location.
My husband and I cannot say enough about the couple who manages the hotel. I am sorry that I can't remember their names. Fore example, during our stay we went to a convenience store to buy a bag of ice (I love a lot of ice in my drinks) and when we returned the young man who managed the hotel saw us and immediately brought us a cooler for our ice. He and his wife keep the facility immaculate.
The night before we checked into the St. Cruz, we stayed at a "luxury" hotel in El Fuerte. We could not reserve another night there because they had a tour group coming in. The "luxury" hotel had fantastic grounds and beautifully decorated rooms. But there were practical issues that were not addressed much more than what we experienced at the St. Cruz. For instance, when I placed a hand towel on the rack it fell off at the "luxury" hotel. Our toilet was stopped up after one use (#1) at the "luxury" hotel. A good working toilet is a must and the St. Cruz had a great working bathroom = no issues.

Worst service ever
This was the worst hotel service we have ever had. There is NO free parking, its on the street and when asked about it, we were told that they had 3 spots and would be available later, then we were told we couldn't use them. Had to find another hotel to park our cars while we left them to ride the El Chepe train. There was no customer service at all! Would not recommend at all!

Decent hotel for the price
Four of us stayed enroute to our Copper Canyon train trip and back. We were able to park our rental car for two nights in their locked garage. The Hacienda is truly an old hacienda that has been converted to a hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. The open air, partially covered, central courtyard was an enjoyable place to sit out in the evening and read or watch TV. The staff were polite and efficient. They spoke limited to no English but that was fine with a translator on each of our tablets :) We were served a traditional hot breakfast.

Nice patio and garden, horrible room
The central patio is beautiful, with plants and a fountain. Included breakfast was acceptable for a cheap hotel. The room was horrible and the bathroom filthy. Wouldn't stay there again.

Nice quiet hotel
Not far from the center of town.
Quiet (gate is locked during the night).
I was happy to find a gym right in front of the hotel.
In my opinion good value for money.

The staff are extremely helpful and the rooms are "as advertised." Furnishings are a tad spartan but the a/c works great which is extremely important in El Fuerte in July. Breakfast was good.

Very nice for an overnight stop
Very friendly staff.El Fuerte is a quiet town but well worth an overnight stop to or from the La Paz ferry or en route to Copper Canyon.

Es una hermosa propiedad , lástima que tenga condiciones de mantenimiento muy malas , pero es un lugar céntrico , agradable , con historia que si lo conservaran sería una joya
