Good budget hotel close to Birmingham City Centre
This is a modern, clean and reasonably priced hotel located within ten minutes walking distance of Birmingham New Street station (although not connected to it as the name might suggest). Staff were friendly and helpful. For a budget hotel it was comfortable and the amenities were good.

Spring bank holiday
Good location. I use IBIS quite often in various locations and can be inconsistent. Reception/bar area fresh and modern. Rooms a little tired and a bit dirty to be honest. 2 bath towels are not enough for 2 people. If needs to be 2 per person. Only a room curtain, no voile for privacy so either lights on and curtains shut if changing etc... room on level 1 overlooked by other rooms.

City centre gem
Located smack bang in the middle of Chinatown this is a perfect location in the centre of Birmingham. Very handy underground car park provided at £12 a night although I would estimate there are no more than 20 spaces available and it's quite tight). It has a modern reception/bar area where we were welcomed by staff who are worth their weight in gold and were really helpful. Every member of the team is a credit to ibis and deserve recognition, from being welcomed by Ana to saying goodbye to Ingrid when we left these are the people what make the difference. The room itself was ok although it was quite warm, unlike some others have mentioned about the noise from the local area we didn't notice anything. If you're looking for somewhere smack bang in the middle of Birmingham with fantastic staff then this is the place for you.

Weekend Visit
Came to meet friends for weekend to Les Miserable at the Hippodrome. Fantastic show. Only downside to the whole weekend was being stuck trying to get out of car park from 12.45pm until 18.50pm. Literally moved less than 400 yards in 5 hours. The whole of Birmingham was gridlocked. Police were rung but did nothing and said it was the councils fault as they had not properly organised things re the cycle race.
