Ideally located for a gig 10 min walk away and close to the bullring. Parking available but limited but we got a space and reasonable prince considering central location. There is clearly a leak from the shower/bathroom into the main room - carpet was water marked/stained and when we got back after our night out the carpet next to the bathroom was damp underfoot.

Last minute booking as delayed flight meant that I missed my train home. Room was perfect for me, the decor was little tired and probably could have done with a new carpet or at least a deep clean and vacuuming. Receptionists were very friendly and helpful on arrival as was the guy in the morning looking after breakfast. Shower was excellent plenty of pressure and hot!! Comfortable bed and quieter than I was expecting given its central location in Birmingham city centre and only 5 minutes walk from the train station. Good breakfast plenty of choice even though I arrived after 10 am as o went for a run first!! Checkout receptionist was very friendly and didn’t question me when I requested a printed receipt for my insurance claim.

We had a really great stop at this hotel when visiting Birmingham. Clean bright room, smooth check in, friendly staff and lovely buffet breakfast. The underground parking is also useful, but be aware that the entrance is very tight. Well definitely stay there again.

Everything was close by. Staff was helpful as I left my flip flop there when j checked out and totally forgotten to grab them. I called and they asked me to email so that they can look into the house keeping to see if it was handover. Within 24 hours they got back to me and they've found it and kept it for me until I came back. Lovely and honest staff

A colleague and I were running a course here and I must say the facilities, and service we received from all members of staff was top notch. We stayed three nights, our rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower room was - let's say - 'bijou'! Breakfast was hot and tasty. All in all we were very satisfied. We have stopped in most of the hotels in Birmingham over the years and so far this IBIS has been the cleanest, most friendly staff and the best value for money. Location is excellent for China Town, Grand Central, New Street Station & the Hippodrome as well as central Birmingham. We had a drink at the bar when we got in last night, and the staff could have been friendlier. Reception staff were also great. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean bathroom, plenty of space. Will definitely stay again
